Because his fans can use it to justify the continual ****ty competition. You had Ellerbe in an article here a day or two ago blatantly confirm it aint about competition but putting asses in seats . It's all good. Let them keep Tank on an island/bubble parading around his secondary trinket while the rest of the lightweights sort out the true champ of the 135lb division, starting next weekend. Madonna was der doe.....

Why is it so important that he has to leave Haymon? And he is a promotional free agent, he has his own promotional company and his contract with TMT just ran out

I'm not claiming any one fighter there is great. But those are probably 3 of the top 4 guys he can face. Not to mention, maybe Stevenson, if he steps up. The greatness comes from an accumulation of beating the best the division has to offer, and the surrounding divisions also. I'd think we can agree that, that isn't Barrios, Cruz and Romero. All I'm saying is, here's a guy that could be something truly special, and all he needs is that chance to shine. And I certainly criticise Garcia plenty. And Haney, who I like, is far from perfect. But they're just the best around at the moment.

Im not sure that’s a fair statement he fought the best of his generation and lost

Loyal fan base that shows up to his fights , great atmosphere which gets me hype watching at home. Needs to step up his level of competition though

But Madonna and Micheal strahan showed up, so he’s a star, ok. The star to the stars should let the public know he exist too. I’d prefer he fight Loma instead though.
Was the highest grossing fight in barcleys history that means most money made not just tickets sold

Nah, no need to split hairs, he’s a star and it extends beyond boxing. He has casual attention and that’s what makes him a star in American boxing. He’s in the driver seat now and he can fight whomever he likes. And it doesn’t require him to go to dayzin to do it

What's Kambosos to someone who doesn't need the fake belts or any of the things you have mentioned? Nothing. I'm not seeing anything.

So what ? Picking Boxing Cherries leads to "stardom" ! These days Jake Paul is a bigger boxing star ! How good is Stank?Who knows? We'll probably never find out as he'll continue to be protected.
