Davis marketability is built on sand: he’s been expertly matched with weight-bullying wins combined with victories over overmatched, limited fighters. I still have seen nothing yet to convince me he’s nothing more than James Kirkland 2.0 - an overhyped guy who was great delivering highlight-reel wins over limited guys but fell apart once he was was consistently fighting higher -level guys

The accusation of racism could not be further from the truth. Why do people always need to revert to this bull****, it's simple facts. Real boxing fans know when fighters are ducking real challenges and in not as appeased as most in blaming promoters. Tank is clearly a great fighter, but If you genuinely believe he is challenging himself then you are blind to the truth. The same can be said for so many around the weight class. Just to add, i would include ryan garcia to that list (just so you don't think I'm being racist again for no reason).
With regards to saying I'm bothered by a black fighter ruling the roost or making money, I couldn't car less how much money fighters make. When did fans start taking and interest in this? I want the best fights. How much money another man makes is none of my concern. Is an argument a fanboy would make to defend the indefensible.

A skillful talented big “attraction” wasting away his prime against B-level competition in ppv mismatches(10-1 odds). No props/cred for doing exactly what was expected Sat night. Just more calls to fight A-level opponents for once.

if hes a star to the stars now just imagine what he might be in a few years, a galaxy to a universe or maybe even bigger & beyond !!!!!!

to be fair it is good to see popular fighters and the sport needs them & i hope we see him in great fights in the future, with his power he does bring excitement but we all know power puncher can be outboxed v the right guy who can take the shots or avoid most of them

Well, this writer just justified fighters fighting MEDIOCRE opposition till their recognized as being AWESOME. I guess he must be a fan of the CORPORATE boxing method.
I have never bought a fight from Tank. I won’t even buy Loma/Tank cause Loma’s too old now.
              I would buy Teo/Tank. Kambosos/Tank.
              Haney/Tank & of course
              Shakur/Tank is my ideal fight.
WE ALL KNOW Tank don’t want any of these fights

u know what, i was on the fence about whether he could be a real star or not, but after beating rolly pollie the pouting perv im convinced he can be, he just needs to keep winning, doesnt matter who just win, they say winning is everything & they are right

Why are people more concerned about the number of people that bought tickets or ppv as opposed to the quality of opposition? Boxing is so backward. Fans have become so defensive they can't see what is clear to everyone else. I hope he realises this and leaves mayweather but its clear to me that's not going to happen

He is a boxing attraction, no doubt. So was Butterbean. Let's see him fight a top fighter. I'll jump on the bandwagon if he beats somebody good. I said the same thing about Deontay Wilder. As soon as he fought somebody good, he lost.

i think people need to remember that it’s very rarely the fighter that picks their own opponents. I don’t think tank is to blame for not fighting the Lomas, Lopez, Kambosos of this world. I think it’s entirely down to Mayweather promotions and Haymon / PBC. They’ve done it with the Charlos for years and kept them away from non in house fighters. They’re the ones ruining the sport.

They stopped Crawford Spence from happening.
