I don't respect all of them. I think you are a GGG fan, right? Did you consider him a 'champion' when he held the belt Davis has at middleweight? Honesty. Davis is THE lightweight champion. Belts don't tell me shit. I despite them all equally.

I like G, but he had a few of those bs belts too. And sorry but Davis is NOT a lightweight champ till he fights the winner of Haney/Kambo. Hes a mandatory and should force his position.
Davis couldve fought Loma but refused to. Its been damn near 7 years and he couldve fought him since then....it would be his best opp to date.

Because boxing is 50% entertainment/interest/income and 50% legacy. I don't see a problem with his career path one bit. He's still young. And he's not built like a guy that's going to jump up to 147 down the line. I'm not saying his resume is super either. But the man is still young. This is called a CAREER, people. There's nothing wrong with a man building his profile, making his name bigger and bigger, his wallet bigger and bigger. And THEN taking bigger fights. There's nothing horrible about having a Pedraza, Santa Cruz, Rolly, and Gamboa on your resume. Sure they're not there elites. But still they are quality wins. Every fight like this one (against Rolly) makes the next fight that much bigger. You are all impatient. The kid is moving his career just fine. And sooner or later, he'll get Garcia. Or he'll get Haney. And when they happen, he'll do even bigger numbers. AND he'll win and shut most of you up. If you expect him to fight all the big names by the time he's 29, you haven't watched boxing lately. It just don't work that way with any fighter.

I would have mostly agreed had these fighters not just lost 1.5 years off the primes of their careers during the shutdowns. All of a sudden I look up and he's 27 having these fights when he probably would have done this two years ago. I think he is also feeling that time crunch which is why he has been more vocal lately. 27 isn't that young for these weight classes.

Thankfully, there are more than enough opponents to make up for lost time but those fights have to be made. I hope to see it because he has already done well to build up his fanbase.

Who are those great fighters he should fight at 135? Our definition of "great" is different. I don't think someone like Kambosos is even good. Ryan? Haney? None of those are great. If they want the fight, they should send offers. Why put it all on Davis?

Fair response! I can't throw fire at that. I think the time is coming. But as another commenter stated, who are these big names? The public will never be happy. He could beat Haney and Garcia back to back and it'll still be "Haney was never good anyways. And Garcia is just an internet star"..... Fans are never happy. And never give credit. Or I should say "rarely"

Just to be clear, I didn't claim you called Tank great, I wanted to know what you consider Tank and I know now. Great potential being squandered with mismatches.

It's no question that Tank is the A side the champions just hold more leverage because of the belts.

That's strange because the last time I checked the Star fighter dictates the terms. Just ask Canelo, Floyd and Manny. Just saying...

Tank definitely is a star on the rise. He’s been doing solid ppv numbers and making profit against solid but not spectacular opposition.

Floyd and Haymon have done a great job marketing and promoting him to a base of fans that have shown great support. Now the next phase for Tank is to fight the top guys at LW.

If Haney v Kambosos 2 is next, Tank should use his earning power to fight Loma, if he doesn’t refuse the fight since he is the mando for the winner already. Then have the winners fight.

Even better would be Haney v Loma next and Tank v Kambosos and the winners fight, but I doubt Kambosos would come to America for that when he is contractually obligated to get a rematch.
