As an attraction, yes. But not yet as a fighter. Those training wheels need to come off now. He's acknowledged that himself. He's a good kid. I do hope his people allow him the chance to seek genuine greatness.

People are actually angry because an African American is in the driver's seat at 135 (most of those are degenerate white racist Loma fans). I can say a lot of crap about Loma when I see their posts, but I refuse to crap on Loma. Saying American isn't accurate either. There isn't a shared identity in the US.
first off I think you’re making sweeping assumptions on behalf of a lot of people that are utterly unfounded. You’re the one bringing race into this. People are frustrated because he hasn’t fought a single champion at 135. Loma was undisputed when he moved up. Hasn’t fought him. Lopez then took that mantle followed by Kambosos. Hasn’t fought either of those. I don’t count Haney as he’s an email champion that only got his title due to ****** WBA invented franchise crap that has no place in the sport.

Personally I do think tank is special and probably the best at 135, but he has to beat the guys at the top to prove that and Haymon / Mayweather keep it in house crap stops that from happening. If anyone or group is racist it’s those guys and Haney ‘I’ll never get beat by a white guy’. Let’s see how well that goes once Kambosos batters him as I believe he will. I seem to remember Hopkins saying the same just before Calzage beat him.

I think you’ll find amongst true fans that very very few are racists. Quite the opposite in fact. Most admire and respect fighters of all races and colour. It’s you that have got it wrong and you’re in a minority.

Who are those great fighters he should fight at 135? Our definition of "great" is different. I don't think someone like Kambosos is even good. Ryan? Haney? None of those are great. If they want the fight, they should send offers. Why put it all on Davis?

Good post. You are a smart fan. But if you paid attention to NSB and boxing in general, it's actually quite racist. It goes many ways. I didn't say all the whites were racist. I know some white guys on NSB who are far from racist.

He is attraction, no doubt, but so was Wilder before Fury destroyed him.

Because Kambosos is the lineal, and realistically the undisputed champion. It doesn’t matter if he’s great or not. He beat the guy that beat the guy. That’s why we’ve got belts.

I think historically you’re probably correct but then boxing has also had its fair share of people doing the right thing too - Ali spring to mind. I just think people’s frustration with tanks promoters is keeping him in house as opposed to anything race related. I don’t think it’s Tank’s fault in fact he seems frustrated too which i think is what was behind his temporary ‘i want to leave mayweather promotions.

The division has the potential to be repeat of the 1980’s Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Benitez era but they guys have to fight each other now.

If Loma, tank, Kambosos, Garcia and Haney spent the next 2 years fighting each other it would go down in history.

And yet Kambosos has a better win on his resume than Davis does lol. As a fan of his you should be asking for big fights and not be content with his garbage PPV's. A few posts back you said nobody is making big fights at lightweight, I guess you missed the undisputed fight happening next weekend on ESPN?

Not on his own, Rolly takes credit for this 100%. Rolly hyped this fight up big time!
