Lara won the fight but absorbed a lot punches in the process. He cannot afford to get hit like that against much younger and stronger fighters or he'll get stopped. He doesn't throw enough punches back in order to fight them off him. He still only counters.

I kept waiting for Lara to follow up that left hand with a right hook he probably would have gotten Spike out of there sooner in better fashion...

Nah I didn't see old in there, i saw the same Lara I always saw he was letting his hands go last night more than usual actually..when Lara was younger he was even more reserved, he was touching Spike just to keep touching him whether he threw hard or softer punches..never seen that from Lara and he was actually taking risks too punching at the same time as Spike even if it meant getting hit himself before Lara wouldn't do things like that..

Throwing the right hand left hook does leave you a bit exposed so I can see why he didn't do it, but the way he was letting his hands go I felt he should've tried it anyway...

I kept waiting for Spike's mustache to fly off whenever Lara zapped him with the left.

Lara can still crack with hard, crisp counters but the legs aren't there and he got hit more than he should have. Against someone with more (power, speed, engine, durability) than ol' Spike, the Cuban will have issues.

Spike kinda reminds me of Tex Cobb. Nice guy, funny guy. For his own sake, should he really be fighting at this level?

Lara seems so frustrating to deal with lol. I also forgot how long his arms are and Mall looks huge in comparison!
