No the reason is Andy Lee who is Parker’s trainer is expecting a new born child fight week so he is unavailable until a further date & is why the fight is being moved. Warren, Higgins & multiple news outlets have already explained this. A simple google search will squash your “ducking” theories. Parker is also a promotional free agent who is looking for a multi-fight deal & he has no shortage of suitors. I suggest a google search “Parker vs Joyce”… Parker is still in the gym & just finished recent camp with Tyson Fury leading up to the Whyte fight. No trainer until later this summer & no promoter at the moment. He has made a lot of money so he isn’t in any rush to replace Andy Lee. I wouldn’t be surprised if Parker ends up signing with Warren…

Sanchez is a tougher fight for Joyce than Parker would be IMO.

Solid card. Nice to see Johnson getting active again. Unsure when Yarde will be back though as I heard he was gonna be on this card. Hopefully the Joyce opponent is someone decent, obviously won’t be anyone too dangerous but should be at least a Christian Hammer, Mariusz Wach type. Avenging his amateur loss to Kuzmin would be a good choice.
Wach sounds like a perfect fit for this. Hammer, Kingpin, Demirezen & Charr all fight in Germany this Saturday. Kuzmin fights Lartey today. The opponent would have to be willing to fight on 6 weeks notice so I think there is not a lot of established HWs willing to step in with Joyce on short notice unless they substantially overpay. Wach, Kevin Johnson, Hammer or Forrest would be
the likely choices but Kingpin & Hammer have fights tomorrow. Maybe Iago Kiladze or Carlos Negron?

Hammer’s only having an 8 round tune up though, he’d definitely be ready for July 2nd as long as he doesn’t get cut.

I imagine it’s got to be somebody in or around that level.

Solid card, decent test for Johnson, Mikhalkin is a southpaw that can box a bit, but I'd guess Johnson finds him at some point with his heavy artillery. I agree that Kuzmin, Wach or Hammer would be good opponents at this stage

I didn't see it was confirmed that Joyce would fight Frank Sanchez. If he doesn't, & I doubt he will, it is a very weak card IMO. Mikhalkin is adequate but, at his age & given his unfortunate inactivity, Johnson really needed something tougher. Time isn't on his side. Zolani Tete was at his best at 112 & 115. How competitive he'll be at 34 fighting at 122 has to be debatable. He looks like an old ex-champ fighting at 'walking-around weight'. The rest is competitive but on a small hall bill.

That’s nonsense a baby just doesn’t pop out of nowhere ,are we to believe Lee had no clue his wife was pregnant months ago ,did she not grow a little ?

This is a clear duck anyone logical knows this and know Parker used Joyce to stay in the boxing news otherwise he isn’t on national t.v a few weeks ago with Joyce saying the fight is basically a done deal until now they found out Lee isn’t available or isn’t accessible right we believe that one . The spider bite was actually believable .not so much the injury to get out of the Hrgovic fight but this one tops them all as a well thought out excuse way beforehand to not fight Joyce .
