Avenging his amateur loss to Kuzmin would be a good choice.
the likely choices but Kingpin & Hammer have fights tomorrow. Maybe Iago Kiladze or Carlos Negron?

I imagine it’s got to be somebody in or around that level.joe strong likes this.

Solid card, decent test for Johnson, Mikhalkin is a southpaw that can box a bit, but I'd guess Johnson finds him at some point with his heavy artillery. I agree that Kuzmin, Wach or Hammer would be good opponents at this stage

I didn't see it was confirmed that Joyce would fight Frank Sanchez. If he doesn't, & I doubt he will, it is a very weak card IMO. Mikhalkin is adequate but, at his age & given his unfortunate inactivity, Johnson really needed something tougher. Time isn't on his side. Zolani Tete was at his best at 112 & 115. How competitive he'll be at 34 fighting at 122 has to be debatable. He looks like an old ex-champ fighting at 'walking-around weight'. The rest is competitive but on a small hall bill.

Parker is also a promotional free agent who is looking for a multi-fight deal & he has no shortage of suitors. I suggest a google search “Parker vs Joyce”… Parker is still in the gym & just finished recent camp with Tyson Fury leading up to the Whyte fight. No trainer until later this summer & no promoter at the moment. He has made a lot of money so he isn’t in any rush to replace Andy Lee. I wouldn’t be surprised if Parker ends up signing with Warren…
This is a clear duck anyone logical knows this and know Parker used Joyce to stay in the boxing news otherwise he isn’t on national t.v a few weeks ago with Joyce saying the fight is basically a done deal until now they found out Lee isn’t available or isn’t accessible right we believe that one . The spider bite was actually believable .not so much the injury to get out of the Hrgovic fight but this one tops them all as a well thought out excuse way beforehand to not fight Joyce .Last edited by REDEEMER; 05-27-2022, 04:47 PM.
