Supposedly Ortiz backed out of negotiations early and then Whyte backed out of the fight last minute. Because of fights falling through, he was inactive too long and dropped from the rankings.

Now he's gotta fight to stay busy and hope to crawl up the rankings. Wallin doesn't have a fanbase and he's a big, durable lefty with decent boxing but without much pop...high risk and low reward. He just doesn't bring the revenue or the ranking for other contenders to fight him.
Pretty much what I was thinking… Just doesn’t bring much to the table…

Wallin vs Helenius in Sweden would be cool 2 Swedish born Nordic fighters going at it you can also throw Badou Jack on the undercard. Doubt it happens but would be cool for the sport and an even match up.

I like it, how about Anthony Yigit? Perhaps lure Attila Levin and Adrian Granat out of retirement for a showdown? The Hun had considered a comeback a few years back.

Hopefully if he doesn't look like dogshyt against Booker, maybe he can get a shot at being Wilder's rebound KO.
Looking very bad is actually the way one would secure a fight with Wilder though ? It’s how his career has been managed ,just look at his opponents and who they fought previously before Wilder . It’s known he goes for the easiest routes if possible .

He fought Breazeale two fights later . When Wilder fought him it was a great fight ? Breazeale is easily Wilders 2nd or 3rd best win . Wallin did better then Wilder did in three tries and only his 22nd fight .

Wallin has asked every notable heavyweight for a fight and he gets criticized for wanting to fight. “Nobody with a pulse” well how about you ask them why they won’t fight them. This is the same idiot shhhh we endured when nobody would fight golovkin. Same dumb statements. Show me where the guy isn’t willing to fight or STFU.

Seriously. He was going to fight Whyte before Whyte decided to cash out against Fury. Wallin has been trying a lot harder to fight top opposition than Wilder ever did.

Don't forget he also tried to get "bogeyman" Ortiz in a fight as well.

A high risk, low reward fight is what he is. He has the tools to make it an ugly fight and take Wilder to the scorecards where Wilder could lose. Don’t underestimate Wallin…he ain’t as bad as you seem to think he is! He gave Fury a close fight and managed to cut him. He is spoiler material and has a style that Wilder will likely avoid.
