I wouldnt mind seeing Wilder and Wallin fight because I like seeing knockouts but Wilder will catch backlash for fighting Wallin. I'd prefer to see Wilder and Whyte honestly. Both should be available and the fans would be happy with it for the most part.

How yawl, just going to act like Rydell a steppingstone and don't have a shot at winning tonight in front of his hometown fans.

Wallin would be wilders second best opponent, oh yes he would.

Young, prime, recently sized, moves very well in the ring, has a bit of skill, seems to be quite robust. It's a competitive fight.

Which is why we won't see it, PBC will sc**** the barrel for whatever early 2010s heavyweights they still have on contract.

Wallin for sure should be in the Mix as a TOP Heavyweight Contender but Politics and BS is the main reason why he is not. Not with or associated with any of the Top Promotional Outlet (Top Rank, PBC, Matchroom...) he seems to be going backward in Rankings

Wallin vs Frank Sanchez would be a great fight!

I'm thinking Wilder fights someone like Robert Helenius his first fight back

Eh, because we've seen Rydell fight? Booker has some skills but he's up there in age and I don't think he's been trying very hard to win as of recent. Saw him fade against a very limited Jermaine Franklin and saw him look for a soft spot on the canvas against his former sparring partner Hrgovic. Sure he could shock Wallin but the odds are stacked against him.

Wallin or Chisora would be decent in my eyes. Wallin doesn’t bring much to the table but he has wins over Kauffman & Breazeale so he has some skill. I said in another thread how he is fighting Booker & over in Germany Charr, Demirezen, Kingpin & Hammer are all fighting on the same card. Kabayel is looking for an opponent… Is the problem Salita?
I don't think Salita has done the best job, I think a few things contributed to Wallin's career languishing. After the Breazeale fight he was chasing big names. Supposedly Ortiz backed out of negotiations early and then Whyte backed out of the fight last minute. Because of fights falling through, he was inactive too long and dropped from the rankings.

Now he's gotta fight to stay busy and hope to crawl up the rankings. Wallin doesn't have a fanbase and he's a big, durable lefty with decent boxing but without much pop...high risk and low reward. He just doesn't bring the revenue or the ranking for other contenders to fight him.

When I was writing of possible opponents for Wilder in another thread, I thought of Wallin but didn't include him.

It would be a good fight but it's fairly risky for Deontay without much reward.

Wallin can box fairly well, he's a southpaw and he seems pretty rugged. Fury couldn't put him away in a fight he was very much trying to get the KO. I've seen Otto fade in fights but never recall him being all that hurt. If Wilder can't ice the big Swede can he win a decision against him?

Punishing a fringe contender like Walin would be a great tune up bout for Wilder to get back in the mix.
Hopefully if he doesn't look like dogshyt against Booker, maybe he can get a shot at being Wilder's rebound KO.
