Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: First Time In My Career We're Working On Game Plan Ahead Of Usyk Rematch

Anthony Joshua is slated to face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch on July 23 in the Middle East. In September, Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) lost for the second time in his career when he dropped his WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles to Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) in a unanimous decision.

Rob McCracken had him how many years? 10? 12? And Joshua never had a gameplan..
      This is typical english coaching

I think he said a specific game plan . A.J is probably seeing how a proper strategy by a competent trainer is now full time . McCracken was a part time trainer mostly away from A.J and went into camps at the tail end of them . Not sure how that worked for so long but if that’s the case A.J has a lot of capable improvements we haven’t seen yet .

Against Ruiz the plan was to knock him out early if not out box him ,but McCracken isn’t the type of trainer that gets into a real breakdown of opponents he relies on fighters raw talents and goes wherever the fight does or unfolds in the ring which is very risky because a fighter may be caught off guard .

Oh, brother. This guy tries so hard to be the Dalai Lama and then says the most ridiculous things. He's funny.

More proof Rob McCracken is a pretty overrated trainer.

Froch also got by on raw physical, athletic ability.

What exactly does McCracken do if he barely gets into significant gameplans for fights?

                Amatuer, that.

There was also only 1 Froch fight with a clear game plan which was vs Arthur Abraham, and it was the same game plan he used for AJ vs Ruiz, run, jab and whatever you do, DO NOT throw power shots

                  He's a poor trainer.

you have to have one mallet of a chin to not have a gameplan
