Bernard lost to a bum, Mercado, he also got dropped twice by said bum. Apart from Taylor(lost), Pavlik, Jones, Winky, Tarver and the two welterweights(oscar, trinidad). Bernards fought 40+ bums.

Bernard did NOT lose. It was scored a draw, however most anyone that watched the fight believed he won the fight, despite the knockdowns (so that should tell you somethin about how he fought).

i can see peoples points when they say he picks on smaller guys, but you can pick holes in any fighters record no matter how good
he is a legend-i dont quite buy into the whole 'i end careers,i take souls' bulls*it though, hes just trying 2 keep himself in the limelight

Bhop is one of the top 3 fighters of this generation and I would place him top 30 all time due to his quality of opponents, his skills, his longevity and the fact he only lost clearly once.

the mans impact on the sport also helps.

Only Holyfield and Pac of current boxers can claim to have as good a resume as BHop.

he also lost clearly to calzaghe, anyone that had hopkins winnin is nuthugging no doubt
though i would'nt go as far as saying he's NOT a legend
he fought some smaller fighters sure, but the only real small guy here is de la hoya, the others were more than capable
and what are the odds everyone that comes up to fight him being affected by the weight? they are suppossed to be professional fighters with professional nutritionists so that PROVES hopkins is the problem here not the weight

I had Calzaghe by 2 rounds, thats hardly Clearly, alot of those rounds where close due to the nature of fight.
