Bernard Hopkins - Legendary or Overratted

No two ways about it.

Anybody who says otherwise either personally dislikes the guy (and many do), or is simply a newer fan who isn't truly aware of his overall impact.

He could've competed (and been Champion) in any era.

No, he has teh accomplishments, thats something Calzaghe doesn't lack.

What he lacks is resume.

And since Resume is teh single most important and over-riding factor behind ATG status thats why BHop is top 30 and Calzaghe is in the 70-90 area.

B-hop is overrated... 20 defences against bums and bulk up WW's. His best wins came from WW greats... Pavlik at 170 yay.. The nearest Hopkins gone against Wright is only a draw no way he could win in that fight. Winky was robbed. The compubox is the evidence in that fight...

Lost his important fights against Mr. Gas JT twice, slapping Calzaghe, Jones Jr who's the same size as him or maybe smaller. He's a hall of famer and atg though. But Ranking him higher than Pac and Floyd at ATG is a complete ignorance and pure idiocity.

He's legendary for sure, as if right now though he's overrated. He's not as good as some of his fans claim he is.

Can I assume that you Hopkins fans consider Hopkins to be a legend, based on the fact that he had 20 tittle defences? If so, do you consider any boxer with the similar number of title defences legends also, like Calzaghe.
