He took on Tarver who was coming down from 218 and was nowhere near his own self. That faux victory shouldnt even be mentioned as an achievement!

Denying the fact that hopkins SKILLS took away Tarver's one-two punch and didn't allow him to set up his shots, just like he did against Trinidad and just like he did against Pavlik, is just plain ignorance man. Watch the angles hopkins is at, his lateral movement, the distance he stays at, his defense, etc. There is a reason he made these guys look bad, and it had nothing to do with weight, poison, swine flu or space aliens.

I don't **** too much on his Middleweight reign. 20 defenses isn't something that can easily be done. You never know which one of those bums does a Buster Douglas on you.

If hopkins was a cherry picker like some people claim why would he have fought the #1 light heavyweight in the world coming off of wins over Roy Jones and Glen Johnson? If hopkins was a cherry picker he would have fought Clinton Woods or some ****.

Why didn't he called out guys in divisions higher than him but instead called out Jr. Middleweights?? Vargas, Trinidad, Winky, etc.

And Trinidad was a middleweight champ when hopkins fought him. It wasn't hopkins idea to fight trinidad, a middleweight tournament was set up by Don King, which hopkins resisted at first, with the sole purpose of making Trinidad the unified middleweight champ of the world and set up a super fight with Roy Jones.

As for Calzaghe, he lives on the other side of the world. You guys expect for every non American fighter to come to America and fight. If he was the Champion in the division...why did he had to come to America to fight someone and make a ton less than he does at his homeland?? Why can't Americans go fight him on his turf??

get the f**k outta here...he didn't immediately move up to 175 like you make it out to be...he got punked out of the division by taylor, watched tarver struggle with jones in the third fight, then watched tarver hang out with stallone on the movie set, then after all of that, decided to move up...

by that time tarver was definitely not the world beater that he looked like when he ko'd jones...he watched tarver look like sh** in jones 3, hang out with stallone and knew it was safe for him to move back up to his original division..
