Wow! That is what I thought. I was sure the WBA ordered the Hughie/Helenius eliminator but Helenius turned it down. I wonder why he did that? Bigger fight on the horizon? Hunter/Hughie is an evenly matched fight. Both very similar but Hunter didn’t look good against Forrest & Hughie has some momentum after wins over Wach & Hammer. Is Hasim Rahman still Hunter’s trainer? They worked well together & Hunter would take fights on short notice. What has changed? Getting older?

I can see Hughie Fury take some shot and get cut maybe an early stoppage by ref in every cases it will be a long night for Fury.

You can go down your local pub and order a WBA eliminator

Hunter on points for me. If we see the best of him, he's technically superior. Hughie is just big and awkward. That gives him a chance I suppose.

He deserves much better tbf, but the competition was just too stiff, what with Bjork and that South American ref in the picture.

You might well hate me because I’m a lifelong red! I gotta say, we’ve had some nutters in our time, and some ****** players, but never an absolute, 24 carat, no-boundaries, hard man on Ferguson’s level.

****ing love the guy; even more so when he scored that screamer against Man United in a 3-0 win, albeit that was while partnering Shearer at Newcastle.

United always seemed to bring the best out of him. Always remember the diving header winner he scored for us against them in 2005. Not the most gifted of players but he always gave his all on the pitch and as you said legitimate hard man as those two burglars found out the hard way.

I think Hughie will win a controversial SD . I think it’ll be a good fight if Hunter presses the action .

If Shalom is expecting fireworks in the ring when these two fight he better strap some Roman candles onto the round girls.

That's not to say it's not a good matchup or uncompetitive. Hunter looked lethargic and laboring against Forrest and Hughie is risk averse as he dances and pitter pats around the ring.

I like both fighters, I imagine it will be a close points win for one of them. If Hunter is motivated, I'd favor him but that's a big "if".
