Type 2 Diabetes is hereditary. He would have come down with that disease no matter what. It just so happens that it effects some worse than others.

That's not how you get type II Diabetes. You get type 2 Diabetes by being overweight and having a family history of it.

I believe in his case it may have been too much sugar. Diabetes runs in my family. I watched family members watch their sugar in-take and took their insulin shots daily and lived longer lives than him.

But you still have to monitor your sugar in-take.
