Froch is my favorite British fighter and it's hard to go against him based on what he's shown in the ring. I had to visualize this fight for a second but ultimately I see him taking too many flush shots. He gives too many openings and counter punching opportunities for Canelo not to exploit.
But with a fighter like Froch, it's hard to pick against him. Only kind of bet i would make on this fight is over/under that's for sure.

Froch was a career 168 fighter, he was also a brawler with lots of flaws. But his three strength’s made him dangerous: Stamina, chin, and power. That guy just never gets tired. Most importantly, his chances of KO’ing you don’t dwindle, his chances become better as the fight goes on.
Froch looked mediocre vs Dirrell (I had him losing this fight), Taylor, a middleweight coming up to 168 who was winning on the scorecards, Kessler, Ward, Pascal, and even against Groves. But one thing he has is that he is going to look mediocre but be relentless and that’s why he was always dangerous. He understands when he needs to rally and he WILL do it and he DOES have the stamina and power to come after you.
I would say that fight is 50-50. Canelo might edge him in 7-5 fight or even a Draw.Comment

Froch was a big SMW, around 84kg walk around weight, almost the same size as Bivol.
Canelo showed to be a very basic fighter that quitted after round 2 against Bivol. Not to mention that Bivol held back on his punching and had too much respect for the starpower of Clen. I foresee a UD for Froch, Froch will box slow Canelo on the outside all night long as against Abraham, and will fight fire with fire if that is what is needed to keep Canelo honest if he has any intentions of going for broke (which Canelo will never do since he only gets aggressive when he has a power/size advantage, and withdraws in his shells when he feels his opponents is too much).Comment

If Canelo doesn't hurt Froch early enough, it could be a long night for him. Froch is technically limited but tough as nails, he will punch back even if he's drowning in quicksand.
One could easily envisage a draw between these two.Comment

Carl Froch ******. No he wouldn't win. I'm imagining when he had to fight Andre Ward, completely different styles and bodies but no he would just never win.Comment
