  • Edwards and Catterall confirmed.

What route do you reckon MR go with Catterall? Prograis maybe as he’s kind of a free agent?

I think that'd be very bold, I'd hope to see that when he headlines in September, but I'm still not sure. When Taylor boxed Prograis he was excellent, that's a really high-level fighter who can really ****. I favour Regis against anyone currently in the division with the slight caveat that I'm still unsure about Matias, he seems like an absolute animal.

Catterall's out May 27th isn't he, on Lara-Wood/Warrington. Heard Foley mentioned on Twitter and that seems about right for the level of opponent, Sandor seemed a bit optimistic. That's a fight where if he wins, it'll be very tight and he probably won't look good doing so.

I'll be interested to see what MR do with their 140 guys, they've got a lot in good positions (Spark, Hitchens, Paro, and to a lesser extent Love). I suppose if Taylor wins you could make that fight, if he wins + vacates you might be able to do Catterall-Paro for the vacant WBO?

      • Anything on Denny/Whittaker rumoured opponents for their return in May?

        • Press conference Tuesday to announce CBS' opponent for the Vitality fight May 27. Ben seemed to reference the two other domestic guys quite a lot, seems a shame a Goulamirian fight's gone by the wayside. Hopefully they make Goulamirian-Riakporhe or get Richard a world title fight in the summer.

          • I'd like to see Catterall vs Martin or Paro, both easily doable fights for Matchroom

I think Prograis beats Matias, Matias is dangerous but he’s flawed.

Yeah he’s on the Lara-Wood 2 card. If they can’t get him a big fight, just keep him active, get him out at least 3 times this year and try and work him into a mandatory position. Catterall is in a tough spot cause he’s a very good fighter, who doesn’t draw and is hard to look good against.

Possibly if Taylor won and moved up, I get the feeling the time is right for Teofimo though in that one. Catterall-Paro final eliminator also works though tbf.

Nothing really, I reckon Denny fights an international fighter for a ranking title and I expect Whittaker to get a bit of a soft touch, probably some Eastern European with a padded record.

That card desperately needs another interesting fight.

I hope it’s Goulamirian, I think Okolie-Riakporhe is the first to make too. It’s a more natural rivalry.

The only worry with Catterall vs Martin is it could be a real stinker. Neither like to initiate.
