Don’t think so. Think he’s a free agent.

I think it’s possible Hunter and Hughie move in different directions now. Hunter isn’t contracted to fight Hughie next so he can essentially just go to the highest bidder. I could see Frank offering Hunter the Joyce fight for September.

Looks a fairly decent card, don't think I've seen McCrory before and his opponent looks a reasonable step up. Will it be on UK TV?

Saw Marku seems to be getting his homecoming fight - August 25th. Will that be on Sky/have Boxxer fighters on the undercard? Kongo fight still planned for later in the year?

Wardley opponent for Saturday still TBA it seems. Not a particularly great sign.

Likely that Sky do an all-female card September 10th, what with Baumgardner-Meyer touted for chief support?

Unfortunately, I don’t think it will be because of the MTK connections with the fighters involved. I believe Jamie Conlan is promoting it who was formerly the VP of MTK so it’s highly unlikely any of the major broadcasters touch it. Hopefully they can put it on YouTube or something, I really like this card.

I don’t expect the Marku card to be on Sky either, I noticed Sky didn’t promote the card at all when it was announced. I think there’s a good chance we get Kongo vs Marku later this year though- really like that fight too.

TBA 5 days out is inexcusable, very poor practice from Matchroom.

Looks like they’re going the all female route, can’t lie, I might not even watch it. I really struggle with female boxing it just doesn’t really excite me.

              Have missed your insights RJJ!

From what I gather, people were seemingly getting hyped a day or two ago about the possibility of Benn-Eubank Jr, but Hearn's comments etc seem to suggest that's not likely any time soon.
Do we know anything concrete about the Liam Smith fight then for Eubank? Is it likely to be September, or later on in the year?

Don't think I saw this from a very reputable source, but I did see something about Takam being lined up for Dubois in September, with Essuman-Antwi (as the BBBoC had ordered) as chief support - anything in this?

Hearn seems bullish about making Wardley-Gorman next, but him (and Fabio in an interview a while back) keep talking about the British. It's been ordered for the English isn't it? Is this a way for them to duck it and say they're above English title level?

Eubank Jr vs Benn is a obvious publicity stunt IMO. I give that fight no chance of happening. I’m confident Eubank Jr vs Smith is next. I’ve seen September 3rd floated but I think it might get pushed back a few weeks.

Can’t say I buy the Takam rumours either tbh, I don’t think he’s ranked by the WBA either. If he suddenly appears in the rankings though then we’ll all know what’s coming.

Love the Essuman vs Antwi fight, be interesting to see if it goes to purse bids because I’m sure Boxxer will bid for that fight as well as Warren.

Hearn has a good relationship with Kalle, I’d like to think they can make that fight. Would Matchroom send Wardley over to Channel 5 though? That’ll probably be the sticking point. I can’t really see Wasserman sending Gorman over to DAZN because of how thin their stable is. In an ideal world, Joyce vacates and it’s for the vacant British title too.

Surely PBC aren’t likely to let Thurman go onto DAZN and face Benn next - so who does that leave for Conor? I’m still holding out hope for Ava to be announced out of the blue but that seems equally unlikely. Is there a date for his fight with Miguez?

Saw an interview where Joyce was saying they don’t need to take a risky fight as he’s WBO #1 already. Disappointment at that aside, would that suggest Wallin or Bakole are unlikely for September - have you heard anything much about potential opponents?

Love Essuman-Antwi too. Lots of the BBBoC ordered fights in the last circular had July 13 purse bid dates so maybe we’ll see where it lands then.

I guess my question on Wardley-Gorman is whether they’ll do it for the English? As you say promotionally it’s not an easy one to make, but might that be one of the excuses - that it’s a fight deserving of the British instead?

I still think it’s gonna be Hooker. It’s definitely not gonna be Thurman, that would be a massive surprise. Avanesyan is the logical fight to make IMO but Team Benn have never fancied it.

I think Wallin, Bakole, Hunter etc are about the best we can hope for. Wallin would be decent preparation for a potential Usyk fight. That’s a tough style for Joyce IMO.

You could be right, I could see them using that exact excuse tbh, it is difficult to see making it for the English isn’t it.

Agree, can't really see who else is viable aside from Hooker at this point. Heard rumblings about Barrios, but I'm not sure they do that. Ramirez is probably looking at Zepeda now, and I think they'll keep him away from punchers like Kavaliauskas or Ava for the time being.

Yh, wouldn't complain about Joyce against any of those. If Frank can make Joyce-Wallin or Joyce-Bakole and then gives Dubois a Takam-esque fight he's not doing too badly. Not sure we'll actually get something of even that quality though sadly.

Has Joyce suggested he might vacate? I heard that referenced a few times recently, but haven't seen it widely mentioned.
