Josh Kelly vs Troy Williamson is a cracking fight. Hopefully Sauerland/Channel 5 get it made.

Wasserman have also announced they have signed Lyndon Arthur. Good move.

Think I saw an interview where Adam Smith hinted strongly that Whittaker would be on the AJ card. When it was put to Ben yesterday, it didn't seem as though he would be - and there was a post on Matchroom insta suggesting the card was complete. Is it fair to assume he won't be on there then?

Will Frazer Clarke be back out on the Liverpool card early September?

Williamson-Kelly would be a good fight, but I have to say I don't really rate either. Williamson in particular I think is too crude to do anything above British level.

Something about Arthur just doesn't interest me, but I'd like to see him fight the Azeez-Pitters winner, or Craig Richards next. No interest in watching him climb the rankings by fighting mediocre opponents on the continent. He's not a headliner imo.

Apparently last night's Channel 5 show was rubbish, and McCormack didn't get on until gone 11.30.

CBS-Opetaia likely next? Would like to see him fight Riakporhe in a rematch but I doubt Sky want to jeopardise Riakporhe-Okolie unless it's for a title - how close are they to making Riakporhe-Makabu?

Chamberlain back in against Jumah/Lawal winner/loser? Would like to see it.

That’s a big fight in the North East. It’s the type of fight Channel 5 need to make as it will actually sell some tickets and pay for itself.

Would be a smart move to get Whittaker, Frazer, Azim etc on the AJ card if they can. I imagine the Liverpool card is the back up option if Matchroom/AJ don’t allow Boxxer fighters on the card.

He’d be a good opponent for Azeez, I expected Boxxer to sign Arthur tbh. Channel 5 desperately need more fighters tbh, they’ve essentially only got Kelly, Gorman, Harlem Eubank and Udofia. Arthur is someone they can have headline at the smaller venues in Manchester. They need to do better with these cards, the last two have been very poor IMO. Not showing McCormack was ****** too, it was a first round finish pre-recorded so it’s not exactly hard to squeeze that in.

Not sure what’s next for Riakporhe, Boxxer should be able to deliver him a title shot, Makabu would definitely willing to travel as would Goulamirian. I’ll be disappointed if they can’t secure him a shot in the next 6 months or so. If they can’t CBS or Massey rematches make sense IMO.

Looking forward to Jumah-Lawal, that will likely be paired with Chris Kongo’s return. Riakporhe-Makabu, Lawal-Jumah and Kongo-Marku would be a cracking card if they could put that together.

Leigh Wood vs Mauricio Lara is being discussed for Sep 24th at the Nottingham Arena. Huge credit to Leigh if he takes that fight!

The back up opponent for Wood is Kiko Martinez so don’t get too excited.

Hughes-Galahad will likely be chief support.

Getting Riakporhe that shot seems crucial. Goulamirian-Merhy has been ordered, so maybe the winner of that would be a good fight if they can't get Makabu (always question marks with King, especially as I'm assuming Makabu's his only world champion left?). Dunno if they'll make CBS-Riakporhe without a belt on the line so hopefully it's one we may see in the future. Massey-Chamberlain? Massey makes sense for Riakporhe if they can't get the shot as you say.

Intrigued by that card. Would they have to make Lawal-Jumah before they'll have time to get Marku out again? Is there a deadline the BBBofC will impose?

Doubt we see any Boxxer fighters on the AJ card to be fair, but you probably know better than I. Reckon they can get Whittaker on the Liverpool card or will that not be eye-wateringly expensive especially with Smith, Azeez-Pitters, Adam Azim and possibly Frazer Clarke on there as well?

Channel 5 seems like a bit of a disaster thus far, especially if Gorman gets beat convincingly by Wardley (not necessarily what I see happening, but definitely a possibility)
