eddie set up the fight because it was all in house and canelo wanted a 175 belt again and bivol was his fighter. that is common sense why eddie set it up

I've been telling ya'll that for weeks that he was a cherry pick. They took the fight because they thought it would have been a lot easier than Benavidez. So what else is new in the world?

That was very bad matchmaking on Eddie Hearn's part. He underestimated his own fighter just to steal Canelo away from the PBC for the promise of fool's gold. I have to admit; Eddie set Canelo up beautifully hook, line and sinker.

He fell for all his bullshit lies

Anyway, it’s hard to blame Eddie Hearn for bad matchmaking like some people are , I don’t think he has much control over who Canelo fights, Eddie just puts on the show.

Eddie hasn’t got the best brain for boxing though. He genuinely used to say Buatsi can beat Bivol, simply based on the fact Bivol beat a few guys in second gear and without motivation. So I’m sure he did think it was an easy fight for Canelo to get a belt but I’m sure Canelo thought so to. It’s not like he was pushed into anything, Canelo is the boss.

It has been obvious that this is a cherry pick but fair play to Dmitri

Now Eddie Hearn has cost Canelo Alvarez a fortune with Showtime. They were preparing to offer him up to $200M for over a three fight deal but he blew it by listening to Eddie! What a dumb ass?!

Hearn is an id.iot or a genius. I don`t believe he was ****** enough to believe Canelo would beat Bivol.

it was a cherry pick gone wrong, noone was demanding the bivol fight, there was very little interest in it and a flat build up and they were so confident they would win they had already planned the next fight. on paper the route of bivol and ggg 3 was much easier than the showtime deal that was presented to team canelo. people can say 'oh madison youre a clown' maybe so, but you dont plan your next fight and biggest payday for later in the year if you think the guy in front of you has a legitimate chance, bivol had looked flat in recent performances and his resume on paper ******.

A lot of fighters from America look down on European fighters so I believe it. Whether a fighter is an American of White,Black,Hispanic or Asian descent they believe it, I think he thought Bivol as another Callum Smith

The build up and hype for Charlo and Benavidez fights would have been huge. Two well known action fighters who talk very well. Far bigger than some unknown boring russian fighter who barely speaks english, but Canelo and crew have no interest in fighting for the fans, they are just chasing cheap legacy points, so its fantastic it back fired.
