I'd like to see him fight Mario Barrios next.

Benn, Ortiz, Stanionis, Buteav, Crowley, McKinson, Abdukakhorov

Then he can beat the established top level fighter:

      Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Ugas, Avanesyan

And then finally he can run through the elites at 147:

      Spence, Crawford

But at 24 with 29 fights, when I look at his resume I see:

      Clayton, Dulorme, Lipinets, Heerden

I thought we were all boxing fans here, the fight is WON IN THE RING, not on paper. You guys are going to get this man hurt if he goes in believing his own hype without facing 1 fighter with a heartbeat.
He's being avoided, so what can he do? What's his deal anyway with Showtime? He's not with the PBC, so I think he should sign a short-term contract with Top Rank and see if he can get better opponents. I like Boots a lot. I think he's very talented. I don't think he beats Crawford or Spence, however. And I think a fight against Thurman would be extremely competitive. He needs better opponents or else he's just not going to elevate his game, and to do that he's going to need to get on with a better promotional company.

Bottom line is that his next fight must be a step up in level. I want to see this guy show people how talented he is .

Exactly! And most of these fools are LONG-TIME boxing fans and STILL ******. I mean, how many times are they gonna hype up a new fighter that's proven nothing?!

"B-b-b-b-but don't noooobody wanna fight him doe. What about Boots, why he aint in da talks with da big names at Weltaweight? He special. Dey running scared of Boots! You see how dey won't even call his name out after dey fights!"

Pitiful on the part of boxing fans but not surprised at all. Again, as I keep saying...Boots is a special talent but he needs to be moved along like the others. And what's also SO ****** is that boxing "fans" only believe the champions in the division are worthy opponents for Boots, as though anybody under the Top 5 doesn't exist.

Boots needs to be fighting OFTEN! They're moving him along on this twice a year program as though he's already one of the top guys. Not yet, but not far away. I love the guy but his fans are just ****** and impatient at this point. Most of the stuff they say makes ZERO sense.

He can still face the likes of Butaev, Jamal James, Ugas, Barrios, Mean Machine, Avanesyan, hell....even the McKinson guy that was supposed to face Ortiz recently.

Dulorme fought Ugas competitive, won 4-5 rounds vs James and won about 5 rounds vs Stanionis. He was competitive with all those guys. Mean Machine isn't on a level above Dulorme.

Sure it would be ideal for him to get a top 10 WW, but will they want to fight him? That's why him becoming a mando was always his best bet and now if they want the IBF belt, they will have to go through him.
I don’t think he has tbh. I think Avanesyan or Kavaliauskas dispose of Clayton, Lipinets and Dulorme too.

If they just sit on that mandatory spot without getting him more experience before potentially facing Spence or Crawford I think that would be really foolish.

At this point, I dont care too much about resumes. I trust the eyeball test more.

Same reason how I know that Crawford is special despite his resume.

Ennis is probably the real deal..

Kavaliauskas at moments outboxed & had both Crawford and Ortiz on the canvas. He’s far bigger, and more dangerous than glass chinned 140lb’er like Dulorme, or Lipinets & Clayton (which would be at 140lbs too if not for steroids/weightlifting). Avanesyan too, an actual welter. And that’s the point.

Mean Machine had a few good moments and then ended up getting absolutely beat up against both fighters. He also looked terrible vs Robinson and Zewski. So did Dulorme not win 2-3 rounds against Crawford as well? Did Dulorme not compete with Ugas until the end? Did he not compete with Stanionis? Who a year later went on to clearly beat Butaev? Again, there is NOTHING that Mean Machine has shown in his career to say he is on another level compared to Dulorme...Even at 147.

                    Porter is retired.

But I must see him with some decent welterweight first. Crowley, Abdukakhorov, Butaev, Stanionis, Avanesyan level.

Like Mean Machine disposed of Ray Robinson? Stop it, there is no reason to overrate him. Anyways, he needs a bigger plate than Mean Machine as we know how that fight will end. Ennis needs someone like Thurman, Stanionis, etc. But soon enough he will get a title shot as I mentioned.
