Funny in 29 professional fights they have never met, yet they met 3 times in the amateurs. Probably just a coincidence. I’m know Ennis more than likely would beat him but it’s obvious his handlers keep that guy away.

I just think the hardcore fans are hoping for an ATG generational talent emerge like Floyd and Pac were or another Roy Jones appearing on the scene

No disrespect to Crawford and Spence good fighters but not legends like FMJ and PAC

Russell seems content at SLW while Ennis has been fighting at WW. If Russell wants some, all he has to do is move up one class.

I think Russell streamrolls and beats the F out of Ennis.

I’d try and get him out twice before a big fight with the winner next year.

Ennis looks like the real deal to me, he's the next top guy at 147 at the least, but his ceiling looks a lot higher, we might be looking at a future multi-division champ and P4P fighter.

Of course resume is the best way to rank a fighter's level, so far the way he has dispatched of guys like Dulorme and Lipinets has been very impressive. Those guys are by no means top 10 welters, but they are no worse than Kavalaskius or Avanesyan, who are regarded as top 10 welters for some reason?

Ennis looks a really versatile and composed fighter, I would be surprised if he doesn't get very far. But yeah I do want to see him in there with some top guys now, maybe somebody like Crowley who has actually proven himself as a lower top 10 welter of late, followed by a title shot. I don't think big names like Thurman or Danny are going to do Ennis any favours unless the prize is worthwhile, which right now is not. Lets see if the Spence-Crawford winner fights him or moves up, the IBF is due a mandatory challenger.

Maybe fight Cornflake LaManna in Mexico who at least got a WBA shot recently.
You guys are so quick to throw young black fighters to the wolves while preserving your own fighters like Canelo Alvarez with a vast ocean of championship experience. You make excuses for him that his American opponents should fight each other first but he didn't say the same thing to non-American Middleweights like Avni Yildirim and Dmitry Bivol who recently whooped his ass.
