I don't know about any of you, but as an American, I would NEVER root for a foreign fighter over an American fighter.

There are too many annoying British fighters for me to have this attitude. If Eubank Jr or Benn got upset by a random foreigner it would be funny to me. Somebody like BJS being annoying for years, criticising others for quitting saying he never would, then quitting in his next fight...that was just perfect. I could never let nationality stop me from enjoying that.

With this new generation all they need to hear is a Central Asian or Eastern Euro name and you can forget about it.

Ah the good ol "it could always be worse" argument. Nah **** America and **** that argument. I don't wanna hear about how things could be worse when I know for a fact that they could be the better. This is supposed to be the greatest country in the world, land of the free, yadayada. Yet people like you are satisfied living in squalor.

I may not see eye to eye with a lot of American fighters as we may come from different backgrounds, do things differently, have different political views, etc. But at the end of the day, we are still Americans and I stand behind the American 100%.

A good example would be Broner vs Maidana.

As much of a complete annoyance he was, I was still rooting for him all the way.
Who would you root for in a Mexico vs Puerto Rico match up?

Things can always be better, the fact u are online spending time on a website is actually a very good sign that things can also be a lot worse, & a lot of countries have no or very little scope for making things better for yourself, unlike america where if u work your ass of u generally will get somewhere, not always but u have a good shot at it

I’m much more of a fan of the sport than individual fighters

Often I route for the underdog

              I’m not very patriotic

I back the fighters who make the sport look good. Fighter’s come and go all the time many times in one’s lifetime.

Tribalism is for idiots. You don't control which country you're born in, you don't control what race you are. Rooting for or against someone because of where they're from or what they look like is absolutely moronic.

That might be a stretch. I think he just takes it as a national pride thing; there's nothing wrong with national pride. And I prefer somebody who is a little overzealous for the US than all the people who throw dirt at it.

I agree only in the olympics. Im rooting for my country then, in any bout where it's America vs.

I support class fighters who don't talk trash, are christian, good fathers like Andre Ward, Terence Crawford, Roman Gonzalez, Isaac Chilemba. It doesn't matter where they're from. I do not support flashy fighters who show off their money like Floyd and Canelo.
