You know.......... It's possible that Canelo was never all that good to begin with.

What I think you mean is that you don't like it when folk criticise Canelo even though you routinely criticise other fighters and are somehow seeking to deflect by suggesting that folk should focus their attention instead on 40 year old who never quite lived up to his full potential. GGGs more or less an irrelevence at this point and besides many of the folk criticising Canelo were never Golovkin fans to begin with.
Criticize everyone and let's see who is full of unyielding hatred

I love it how people expect more from Nelo while everyone else can live on easy street and be ranked #1

Any chance of Bud fighting Biv ?!?!?

As much as I crap on Canelo, he really is a great boxer, a very skilled fighter. I can't take that away from him. The problem is that people think a loss somehow "exposes" a boxer. There's this idea that unless you go through your career undefeated, then you were a fraud. That being said, too many people pumped Canelo up to be better than he actually is, but that happens when you become the face of boxing.

I mean Floyd was very good at choosing his opponents. He chose opponents that would make him look very good, opponents where he had a high probability of winning. Floyd didn't take risks. People think Bivol was a cherry pick gone wrong, but I've known about Bivol forever now. When I heard that Canelo was going to fight Bivol, he earned my respect. How Bivol was not the favorite going into that fight was beyond me, but I don't mind because Bivol made me a lot of money.

Canelo is a great boxer, just not as good as some had made him out to be. He's gotten some favorable decisions, but I think the one clear robbery he had was against Golovkin. The others, Lara, Trout, etc. Those were too close, and I think that you can make a good argument for those not being robberies. People need to give Canelo the respect he deserves—with an emphasis on deserves.

2 wins over Canelo Alvarez. And still terrified of Demetrius Andrade.

Saul is definitely a good fighter, but all that talk about him possibly becoming the greatest of all time and never losing another fight was pure nonsense.

No... Come on man. Fans are great, but when delusions make people say silly things, it gets real messy.

Porter is a fighter's fighter. He alway gives it and leaves it in the ring, and is competative with everyone. Canelo has been gifted against fighters that had mobility and should have won... I thought the Trout fight was particularly egregious, even more than the Lara fight... But Canelo has great punching and works enough boxing techniques in there to make him superb... No not the natural talent of Crawford, but a great puncher...

But GGG is a level above Porter. and even if Canelo got a gift against GGG it was two competative fights. No one but Mayweather ever outclassed Canelo (a young Canelo)... unlike what sweet pea did to Chavez for example.
