“If he wants rematch, I should give him a rematch,” Bivol added. “And I give him [rematch], of course. If he takes the option. If he not take [the rematch], no problem, I will go my [own] way, to my goal.

    TO MY GOAL

    what's his goal

Alvarez rematch is mostly for the payday

Bet you thought you’ve been here awhile?

If Bivol doesn't lose five rounds on two scorecards against Craig Richards, he may never get the Canelo fight. Fact is, Bivol didn't look great against Richards and he didn't knock out anybody for seven straight fights. It seems obvious that Canelo underestimated Bivol.

That's actually pretty Accurate 8-4 sounded about right.
          9-3 also sounds about right

This mainly proves that Bivol was a presumed cherry pick (that went wrong) - so much for the "I want to challenge myself".

Only proving that Canelo and team underestimated Bivol. Was it a feat worthy of admiration? Sure. But not to the extent some of us have labeled it. Hearn clearly admits that he didn’t expect the Bivol from this past Saturday after watching his last two fights. They thought they were going to catch Bivol slipping.
Nobody goes into a fight choosing a guy they think will beat them, this is a lame narrative, he thought he could beat Bivol and Bivol thought he could beat Canelo, neither guy was a cherry-pick for the other, it was a challenge for both guys for various reasons and Canelo could not bring his home and Bivol did, Ugas just beat Manny, Kambosis beat Teo, it happens all the time in boxing, people are hating on Canelo like its kick him when he is down

Its like a champion stayer racehorse beaten in a sprint match race against a very capable sprinter, the general public forgive these type of losses when the Champ wins the next big stakes races, the real world is all around us yet people don't seem to apply any of it to boxing.

Yeah. I still think it was admirable but not as much as I perceived it as before watching the video. Changed my perspective on the narrative that Canelo really was attempting to capture greatness.

I’m not hating on Canelo. I actually grew to like him. I think his move up in weight was admirable and something not a lot of fighters are doing nowadays. I also agree that most times if not all the times, fighters don’t enter fights thinking they have zero chances of winning. Especially when you start becoming a more recognized name in the sport. But hearing Hearn tell Bivol straight up that they practically chose him based on his last two performances on which he didn’t look as impressive, just sours the moment for me in regards to Canelo and the narrative that he really was seeking greatness. Was it a move worthy of admiration? Of course. Not everyone is moving up in weight. But Hearn’s comment takes away some shine from Canelo’s move. It was big but just not as big.

3 isn’t being generous. 3 is what he won.

If canelo wants rematch at catchweight 171. Itll be for all belts 50/50-55/45 split and in the middle east to try avoid vegas payoffs for clearly judges were in the pockets like its been proven. They just got exposed having it even through 11, when everyone gives canelo 3 rounds max. The Draw vs mayweather the ggg fights and lara fight not being a draw or lose all been showing the judges bias for nelo
