On paper, Terrence Crawford is the most overrated fighter in boxing

His resume is still awful despite the Porter win:

    -Home advantage in every fight
    -home refs in every fight
    -home judges in every fight
-bigger than the vast majority of his opponents
    -house fighter in every fight

hes got great skills but his resume is absolute dog ****. No way is he P4P number one.

Yeah, Bob Arum did a terrible job with Crawford.

If you look deeply into Crawford’s resume it’s actually very solid. He beat a lot of guys ranked top 10, top 5 when he beat them. I’ll use independent ratings like Ring to prove it:

      Burns #4
      Beltran #2
      Dulorme #10
      Postol #1
      Indongo #5
      Horn #8
      Kavaliauskas #10
      Porter #4

To put it in perspective. How many current fighters have 8 top 10 wins? Or 5 top 5 wins?

Yeah the names aren’t household but they were the best guys in the division at 135 and 140. His 147 run has been underwhelming but Porter was a huge step in the right direction and I’m optimistic the Spence fight happens at the end of the year. To call his resume “awful” is ludicrous.

I'm not sure how a man who is from and lives in Nebraska has home advantage in New York and Nevada. He won his first title in Scotland, second title in Texas, third title in Nevada. He doesn't even consistently fight in one place, all of his welterweight fights 2 NY, 1 Omaha, 3 Nevada and only NY was consecutive.

For the home refs/judges, at what point in any of his fights have you felt as though anybody could have edged him or he got favorable ref treatment? I could see these being good points if they came into play.

Outside of 135, I disagree with the size advantage.

He did fight many in house fighters, but I think the majority of fighters fight in house.

In a sense yes. Reminds me GGG, always gets the love based off the “eye test” despite having a weak resume. The Porter stoppage was a great win but that’s the best thing he’s done at 35 now. Spence has a better body of work despite fewer fights and being younger but people don’t want to hear that.

That! That Alone can makeup for his lack of a Strong Resume! Boxing Fans need to go a RELEARN what P4P is, what is was created for and what is the Criteria for it. Instead P4P is now turned into people's Top 10 Favorite fighters or if you're ESPN for Example, they use it as a Marketing Ploy for fighters who fight on their Platform

Why does MMA Fans have a better Understand and Concept of P4P than Boxing Fans! This Is SPOT ON of WTF P4P really is a What and Why it was created:

Boxing Scene FORUM (not the site itself Boxing Scene is The Best!) is a HORRIBLE Representation of Boxing!

Frankly, those ratings are ****. Despite the rankings, those guys are B fighters at best. Porter is the best of the bunch and i believe he overachieved given his ability. That's a testament to Porter's will, determination and durability.
