Spence and Brook both no belt and no ranking they were not even where Virgil Ortiz is now. Floyd was fighting champions or fighters coming of well regarded wins. No reason to fight them and if you remember Brooke was very lightly regarded he was an under dog against porter and not even heard of here in the states.
Bradley they did not fight because of promotional issues and not to mention Bardley got a boxing lesson from Manny and Bob Arum robbed Manny to build up Bradly because Manny's contract was up. How did you get beat up so bad your sprain both your ankles and still get a decision. I am not sure how you could even mention Bradley with a straight face.
You still have not answered my question about GGG and Ward. Do you consider that a duck or not ? I mean he will come up in weight to fight Frock but not for Ward.
Brook was IBF champ in 2014 and was one of the best WWs, spence needs no explanation why people wanted to see Floyd fight him why not give the fighter who people think has be st chance to beat floyd s chance? And thurman also. These guys would be just about the toughest WWs Floyd had fought. The public wanted them but Floyd always had a reason to not fight who people wanted.
Ok, Floyd isn't ducking ggg, how can you be ducking someone not in weight class? But how does he not fight the 4 guys I've mentioned, who people would prefer Floyd to fight, rather than berto, ortiz, guerrero, maidana?
Floyd not retiring as the best as he's not proving it. If Pac can fight spence at 42 why couldn't Floyd at 39 when spence relieved brook of his belt? Nobody asking Floyd to do anything specialLast edited by hugh grant; 05-17-2022, 04:59 AM.Comment

This is true. Reach is more important than height and even then he was always within an inch or two of his opponent's heights. As Breadman and other coaches would say, reach is more important. When was the last time Floyd fought someone who had the reach, height, speed, and size advantage while being in their prime like Canelo did with Bivol?Comment

You mean like when he fought Castillo who was the top LW in the world? Or ODH and Cotto when they were the top JMW’s?
Canelo fought the LHW champ that was considered #2 in the division. He gets credit for that from any logical, real fan of the sport.
That stated Canelo was a 5-1 favorite. Floyd has fought many times as the same favorite so to say he’d never take a risk like this when Canelo was expected to win is completely irrational.
Dude, I get you’re upset Canelo lost but hating on Floyd isn’t the mature way to handle things. You come off a petty f@g jealous that Floyd could do something Canelo failed at.
Why dude?
Floyd shouldn’t be discussed at all. We should only be giving Bivol credit for a great performance that has energized the sport.
Since you mentioned Floyd, I remind you he beat Corrales as the underdog. When was the last time Canelo won as an underdog?

Typical from dudes who smoke the poles of boxers that lose.
Did you only create the thread to have people agree with you? If so, that is truly g@y.
