    1. Stop head-hunting and trying to punch through Bivol’s guard and instead go to the body more often. Make body punches the main objective. Forget about uppercuts and punching around the guard until later in the fight. This also contributed to Canelo getting tired too fast. He threw too many pointless power punches. He must understand that Bivol is a big, skilled guy who isn’t just going to get knocked out easily.

    2. Make it a rough, inside fight while going to the body. Bivol is taller, bigger and has more range. I am aware that it is easier said than done but Canelo must fight the taller, rangier man inside. Attempt to smother him. He will not win otherwise.

    3. Whether media and fans like it or not, the fight was scored closely by the judges. Just 115-113. This was because while Bivol’s total numbers look very dominating, fights are scored round by round. Judges find it easier to score power punches. Canelo is good at this. If you notice power punches landed round by round, 8 rounds were very close.

    1. 5-4 Bivol
    2. 7-7
    3. 9-8 Bivol
    4. 7-7
    6. 5-4 Bivol
    9. 10-8 Bivol
    10. 4-3 Bivol
    11. 12-12

Rounds 5, 7, 8 and 12, were all Bivol by a comfortable margin in power punches. Judges love this. This is how you beat Canelo. But as we can see from the 8 rounds above where the power numbers were either up by 1 for Bivol, or tied, this is why Bivol ONLY won 115-113. Those 8 rounds are the key to the rematch for Canelo.

Other things Canelo has going for him is that he was able to back up Bivol plenty of times, and, whether people want to admit it or not, Canelo took Bivol’s power punches very well for 12 rounds.

This fight was 7-5 in favor of Bivol imo, and I understand 8-4 and 9-3, I have no complaints of those scorecards. But Canelo can absolutely improve and win a rematch. All he needs to do is a LITTLE better, round by round, in 7 rounds, and he can win.
Bivol outlanded Canelo in all 12 rounds if you include jabs.

The fact that Bivol won a 115-113 UD, means it was actually wider than that and wasn't actually even close, especially since the cash cow mayweather won a SD in a fight which was just as wide.

If Canelo has to do only a little better to get a gift decision, then he shouldn't take the rematch and ruin his reputation and leave it at "Canelo dared to be great but Bivol is too big too strong" he already has way too many gift decisions.

Fans like you are the reason boxing sucks. The best can’t fight the best without some moronic boxing fans completely writing off the loser of a fight.

When you fight the best for a decade, of course you will lose some. Canelo has taken far, far, way far more risks than the guy on your avatar. If Crawford was fighting elite competition for 10 years, he will lose a few times as well.

Instead of sh/tting on Canelo’s resume because he lost while taking on a big challenge, why not praise him? You think Terence Crawford would go up to fight Jermall Charlo at 160? No.

But I guess it is easier to ridicule a fighter who takes the tougher fights and loses, rather than ridiculing a fighter like Terence Crawford, who seldom looks “bad” because he doesn’t fight high caliber fighters in their prime like Canelo does.

And stop it with the Andrade and Charlo crap. None of them are Bivol. You are comparing Middleweights who are smaller than Canelo, to Dmitry fcking Bivol, the #2 fighter at 175.
I'm not comparing them. I was one of the few people on here that actually said Bivol was a tougher fight than Andrade or Charlo. But my point still stands, competent defense will always trouble Canelo.

Canelo looked mad confused, like how dare he just take my power

Canelo also looked the fattest ive seen him

Not saying he'd win a rematch, but I really do feel Canelo took this guy lightly
Man stop. Canelo knew the risk he was taking when he picked Bivol. He even got Gvozdyk as a sparring partner to prepare him vs Bivol and it didnt do shyte.

This. Would far rather see undisputed at LHW than a Bivol - Canelo rematch. If Canelo still has ambitions at 175 he could face the last man standing... real hard to be sure who that'd be. I think Beterbiev beats Smith handily but I really can't make a call on Beterbiev - Bivol. I was maybe leaning slightly to Artur before last night, maybe slightly towards Dmitry now, but honestly as 50/50 fight as I can imagine and a brilliant clash of styles and physical attributes.

Canelo looks chubby even at 168. Even Plant was able to frustrate him.

Canelo`s natural weight class is still 160. Just 168 guys pretty much ******.

I don’t think he ever hurt Canelo honestly. He just boxed him beautifully.

Canelo and Reynoso are just dumb and that is why they will lose all Mexican casuals pretty soon when Bivol wins again.

At first place, they took DAZN deal because they felt Bivol would be much easier fight than Charlo or Benavidez.

Don`t buy that sh.it how they took it because they felt like it was a hard fight.

Canelo started to believe in his own hype, this moron actually believed he would beat Usyk, lol.

Hurt buzzed etc has a lot of room in interpretation lol

I agree I don't think he was hurt, not my idea of hurt.
