I want to see the rematch, Canelo did have his moments during it, it is winnable for him.

Yes big mistake to rematch because getting dominated again will hurt his brand compared to 1 loss which can be sort of brushed aside to some extent. I think when they rewatch the fight they will realise this also.

Unbelievable how delusional everyone is. Trying to do damage control for all their years of **** talking about how Canelo has this killer resume, is fearless, isnt ducking anyone. Canelo got WORKED. That fight was not close at all. Look at his face. Look at the punch stats. Look at the rouds. Bivol was touching his face up, Canelo was looking at his corner completely clueless. Awful stamina. After round 6 he knew he was done. You have to be a complete crakchead to think this was a close fight.

THIS is why he kept ducking Andrade and the Charlos at 154. THIS is why he went up to 168 to avoid Andrade and Charlo. Anyone with respectable defense will expose this guy.

I think that establishes a clear plan on how to attack Canelo for any trainer.

I think he needs to go back and show a new dimension to offset that. I believe he can because he’s such a highly skilled fighter.
Not really any trainer. They need the right fighter with the right physical attributes.

You can’t tell Charlo, Benavidez, or GGG to go in there and fight Canelo like the #2 Light Heavyweight just did.

If Devin Haney for example, goes up to 154 right now, and gets dominated by Mel Charlo…no, Charlo did not show a strategy or blueprint to beat Haney. He just showed his skills and size were too much and the way he might win won’t necessarily work for other 135-147lb fighters.

To a lesser extent, look at Mayweather vs Paul, a cruiserweight. Paul had success vs Mayweather. But if you are a 147-154lb fighter thinking Paul just showed how to be successful, and you plan to attack Maywather that way…sorry but you are missing the (at least) 35lbs, 5 inch height, and 4 inch reach advantage that Paul had. In other words, sh/t’s not gonna work on Mayweather from lower weight fighters.

Now if you want to say, Beterbiev or Joe Smith just need to copy Bivol…I agree.

Lets see how he bounces back that will define him.

Bivol is just to big and strong tho like I dont know how he could pressure or hurt Bivol.

canelo is a absolute warrior tho.

What else is alvarez supposed to say when asked if he wants a rematch? No? And then gets boo'd by all his mexican fans? Obviously he doesn't want a rematch deep inside.

I disagree on the last part. Only Bivol can fight like Bivol. Beterbiev and Joe Smith rely on their power. You can't tell them to now box all 12 rounds. I actually thinkg Canelo would have more success against Beterbiev or Joe Smith JR..... as he is certainly the more skilled boxer versus those two, but the question is, would they have the opportunity to tee off on Canelo?

Beterbiev and Joe Smith JR would be able to win in a KO.... but they would NOT be able to outbox Canelo for all 12 like Bivol did.... and again, we saw the scorecards, a 117-111 turned into an identical 115-113 on all three.

theres no way for him to win a rematch.
I was waiting for Canelo to break his hand on an elbow, he couldn't get past the elbows at all, could get around the guard and he couldn't manhandle Bivol so he was fckd lol, no shame he tried a real challenge and it didn't come off, hopefully, his ego loses its indestructible attitude and he goes back to his true weights and be great there, all this weight jumping is getting ridiculous, Canelos Ursk ego got chin checked best he stays in his lane.

I think it's more because they don't put their fighters on the line. This fight was probably a good example of why. I don't like it....but it's the modern business model.
