I think that some people take it worst than it is. Canelo lost to a full and very solid 175 champion (whether Bivol is the best of the entire division will be seen in the nest months). Alvarez was the one moving up one division and he has the physical disadvantages (height, reach, weight and frame) and it was obvious when Canelo connected a few very solid uppercuts but the Russian took them without feeling much affected. Bivol look very sharp moving fast and his jab appeared to frustrate Canelo. I also believe that Saul preparation was not as good as other occasions (probably the extra weight) because he went too often leaning against the ropes (while in the first half of the fight Saul was making Bivol to fight backwards. in the second half of the fight Canelo had periods where he was resting and not throwing punches and even opening his mouth as a sign of fatigue). It appears that the Super Middle Weight is the ceiling for Alvarez to be competitive meaning he could defeat regular fighters in the 175 pound division but probably not the elite fighters like Bivol, Anyway, you have to admire Canelo for taking on the bigger and very solid guys and even if he takes a second fight with Bivol and loses again nobody can deny that Saul takes big challenges and deserves the money and fame he is receiving.

His wild right hand swing which seemingly makes first contact with the heel of his thumb-if it lands with little power- which it didn't- is like a street brawlers.
ANd I think his silly jutting lower jaw, accentuated by that ridiculous little pointy beard is laughable. The Judges tried very hard to deliver what they'd seemingly been paid to do but were too shamed (can this word be used for judges) to go all the way, like thy did with Golovkin 1.
It would be better if they had, than they'd have been lynched and Boxing would have lost 3 crooks.
'Nuff said.

His helpless wild swings do not transform into the boxing expertise that we've been led (by the nose) to believe he had.

I think Bivol is fresher than Kovalev and has a better work rate. Not so sure Canelo will catch up with him as he struggled with Kovalev’s range over the first half of the fight. I don’t think Bivol will wilt in the same way plus i think his jab coupled with his movement is actually better and expect that to compensate for Canelo growing into the weight better. I think Canelo will tire quicker against Bivol who uses way more feignts with his jab than Kov does - all that bobbing and upper body movement Canelo will need to avoid them will be draining.
Kov was on a short camp off the back off a very tough fight with Yarde too. People forget that. I may be wrong, Canelo might find the body early enough with one or two telling shots that take Bivol’s legs away, but personally i don’t think he will as Bivol is just too mobile. I also think Bivol will tag him once or twice and manage to keep him at range. I also don’t think Bivol will fight scared like Plant and Smith did and give up his advantages. It should be an excellent close fight. Can’t wait.

Lol this forum is funny 100+ pages of mostly African Americans hating on Canelo and living vicariously through Bivols win. He lost fair and square no complaints but stop acting like your favorite fighter did this to him it was a Central Asian undefeated 175 lber with a good amateur career. Didn't Charlo struggle with a 154 lber in his last fight lmao? Didn't Benavidez take a while to break down and stop another fighting coming up in weight in his last fight? And now he's fighting a blown up 160 lber in David Lemieux but you are hating on Canelo for taking a challenge up a weight class that not many would take? Benavidez says he would go to 175 for a fight but he isn't even fighting 168 lbers.
Charlo is fighting Sulecki next for Christ's sake just think about that a 160 lber with no power but he can't keep Canelo and Benavidez name out of his mouth even though he himself knows he will never sign the contract.
Don't even get me started on chinny Andrade dude get's hurt by Liam Williams and fought scared for the rest of the fight his only credible win is a close decision with Vanes Martirosyan everyone else he has fought has gone on to do nothing including Vanes and Liam.
