I'm saying there are times when fighters believe they're winning a fight when in reality they're notP to the J likes this.

My comment from yesterday’s post prior to the fight;
I think Bivol is fresher than Kovalev and has a better work rate. Not so sure Canelo will catch up with him as he struggled with Kovalev’s range over the first half of the fight. I don’t think Bivol will wilt in the same way plus i think his jab coupled with his movement is actually better and expect that to compensate for Canelo growing into the weight better. I think Canelo will tire quicker against Bivol who uses way more feignts with his jab than Kov does - all that bobbing and upper body movement Canelo will need to avoid them will be draining.
Kov was on a short camp off the back off a very tough fight with Yarde too. People forget that. I may be wrong, Canelo might find the body early enough with one or two telling shots that take Bivol’s legs away, but personally i don’t think he will as Bivol is just too mobile. I also think Bivol will tag him once or twice and manage to keep him at range. I also don’t think Bivol will fight scared like Plant and Smith did and give up his advantages. It should be an excellent close fight. Can’t wait.

Here for the litany of excuses. Told y’all this man had a mean streak and was more than meets the eye noooooo Canelo the god can’t lose….not to the robotic one two repeat. He did…oh and the mother loving nerve of losing 9-3 even arguably 10-2 and coming up 115 to 113 In defeat just goes to show how close they would come to rob bivol.

Everyone is trying to act like Bivol had a perfect night. Uhh, this is what most of his fights look like. He did what he does, it was just Canelo tonight.
Much props to both fighters, especially for Canelo actually wanting to unify in every division. But Canelo didn't really have anything positive come this fight other than not getting KOed. Not one thing went well. Act 2 will only be worse for Canelo, he needs to go finish his trilogy with GGG before it doesn't mean anything.Last edited by turnedup; 05-08-2022, 02:00 AM.Quaccey likes this.
