Also, getting stabbed in Spain couldn't have helped much.

I go to Majorca and manage to avoid that.

I hope he has a great retirement and is healthy in life.

Good career, made great money, health intact, sail off into the sunset (or the terrible Yorkshire weather)

Well done on a successful career in boxing to Kell. He made a few million or more than a few, has his health and his family.

He did take a fair amount of punishment against Golovkin and Spence, but he also won a world title and got that covered win against his rival Khan.

I don't think a fight with Eubank Jr or Benn motivates him, and when you don't feel it in the gym, why continue.

The guy was so skilled, he could have easily been a top two 147lber .

Just glad he finally got to put his hands on Khan before he hung up his gloves

definatly getting out at the right Time. would have hated to see him fight Benn or Eubank now. he would probably have lost to both . In his prime its a different story

Honestly relieved that he's retiring. Now Khan needs to follow suit.

The first fight against Carson Jones pretty much set the tone of how his career was gonna go down; overrated underachiever. the Porter fight was a fluke (then again, Porter wasn't great either, both B+ fighters advertised as a great.) He can thank management and British boxing fans who will buy just about anything. Sorry, but that's just the plain truth.

Plain but not the truth. Look at any of Porter's fights, look at him v Crawford, & you know a win over Porter is a big deal. It is true that there are no other exceptional wins on Brook's record but that win alone demands respect. He won a world title v a top quality opponent. How many people can say that? Also, when a guy is retiring, if you can't find anything positive to say, it usually is best to keep schtum.
