Absolutely crap number. 1.5million worldwide in 170 countries, awful number. And they definitely exaggerated the number too, no doubt about that.

But with these app shows, the number shouldn’t be measured by how many viewed but by how many new subscribers they got, and that was probably ZERO.

MSG also wasn’t sold out either, watch any fan video and you’ll see empty seats, and if you went on ticket sites two days prior to the event there were still hundreds left

But this is what eddie hearn does, manipulate and lie because he was fuming at Frank warrens 94k show at Wembley

1.5 Million worldwide doesn't seem overly high to me considering a supposed "way smaller" fight in Shakur vs Valdez did 1.35 in America alone.
It's kind of incelish to compare the two, either that or you are a hearn derangement person.

It was a very good number for two women, the fight was very entertaining and it was a great event.

Why does it bother you, if it wasn't your cup of tea, move on.

Hearn’s alright, talks nonsense half the time but he’s alright.

I don’t know what incelish means. I know who Paul Ince is, any relation?

I bring it up because Hearn said it’s a bigger fight than Stevenson-Valdez when the numbers seem to suggest otherwise.

That said, the fight was decent enough. I’d probably watch a rematch.

I've never seen the numbers be put into a "World Wide" category like DAZN/Eddie Hearn have done with Taylor-Serrano.

Shakur Stevenson-Oscar Valdez on the same night did 1.35 Million in America.

So is 1.5 Worldwide a good number? Hearn's acting like it is on Social Media
I did some quick research, as your question made me curious. People around here talk about viewership numbers, but I never cared much about it myself. As an example, Canelo Álvarez versus Danny Jacobs did 1.2 million viewers worldwide (Forbes). That’s just one fight, but it featured a superstar name. In light of that, I would say the Taylor-Serrano numbers are excellent. As it is, their clash set the outright record for viewers of a women’s boxing match. By any metric, the fight was a smashing success. Hell, on an anecdotal note, the fact that I’m even discussing any of this says a lot. I never cared at all for women’s boxing. Lol

Its **** numbers. Amuses me how many morons still fall for corporate double speak. When you see stats or earning calls deviate from the usual metric of evaluation be weary. They're counting international numbers because, in all likelihood, the fight was a disappointment viewer wise in the US. And it's not a surprise really. There was no organic hype about this fight at all, hence why it needed Jake ****ing Paul of all people to even make it happen.

also dazn seem to have 8 mil subscribers worldwide & with a lot of countries being interested in soccer and a lot of soccer matches in the top 10 events i think 1.5 mil or whatever it was is extremely good for a womens boxing match, like really good number

For women's boxing and the limited platform they were fighting on I say yes. It should have been on a more accessible network and it would had been much successful.

DAZN last estimate around 2020 was north of 8 million global subscribers. I'm sure it increased with Covid since everyone turned into homebodies. I think that's pretty good viewership for the platform.
