The grief is unavoidable. The deceased had a life, clothing, birthday, things that can affect your life. Mom died on Christmas eve. That canceled that.

I feel for Hrgovic. While I may have my reservations about his resume, he's abided by the IBF process and had countless potential opponents decline to fight him. When his moment finally arrived, personally tragedy intervened at the worst time. Hope he finds whatever peace he can.

I also feel for Zhang. He had the huevos to step up against Hrgovic when many others declined. Hope he gets his chance soon and the delay doesn't impact his preparations.

I understand Hrgovic grieving his father, but its been a month since he passed.

Waiting until the week of the fight to pull out is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to Zhilei.

They say time heals yet you dont know the circumstances and death affects everyone different. Outside of a the typical sadness that comes with death, you dont know whats in his head. Sure as a fighter he probably figured can fight through it and training would occupy mind yet you never know what triggers he has or hit. Maybe him mom depressed hysterical putting him a fluke or such.
