I think one of the problems with scoring is unless there’s a knockdown almost every round is scored 10–9. In the fifth round when Katie was really out on her feet and getting battered around it should really be scored 10-8. I thought after rounds five and six when Katie was getting hit pretty good Serrano got enamored with her power and was looking for the one big punch. Katie Taylor took advantage of that started pot shotting her rounds 7-10.

Was she not on the receiving end of ( minimum ) 2 to 3 big shots , power shots
One was a big left cross and the other more notable was a shot to the body which backed Katie up instantly
Just saying
Remember this was the feeling each other round so not sure how you missed these big hard shots

Lol at all the Europeans defending Taylor like she truly won the same ones thought she won against Delfine also haha. It's crazy you all actually thought Taylor won the first 3 rounds that's ridiculous. I said this fight was going to be ugly and close and it was but Serrano clearly won 6-4 with a 10-8 round after she pummeled Taylor for 2 straight minutes. Taylor never had Amanda in that type of trouble and in every exchange Amanda fired back. I will admit that Amanda most likely gassed herself out in that round and that's why she let Taylor back into the fight in the later rounds where Serrano got a bit sloppy herself but there is no way Taylor won more than 4 rounds no way.
It's crazy how a 118 lber was able to constantly back up a 140 lber and had her holding for dear life just think about that.

You don't get point's for having courage, heart, and guts, those attributes allow you to stay in the fight.
You accumulate points for hitting, and not being hit, not only did Amanda did that to a greater extent than Katie did.
Katie showed a ton of heart, and was able to go the distance, but she still lost this fight by 4 rounds.
She was as hurt as a fighter can get without getting knocked out, by their opponent, the judges just had to ruin a great fight.
Amanda really busted her up, it's going to take Katie week's to partially recover, because this beating has left her permanently debilitated.
They are deserving of a standing ovation for giving it all they had, and putting on a heroic performance for all the fan's of boxing.
We're clearly going to disagree on this, but I thought Katie edged the early rounds, and definitely won the last three or four (last round was tight but she did cut her). Serrano did batter her in the middle rounds, but as good as she was that was only a three round period, if she'd kept it up she'd have won.
Don't know where you get this permanently damaged stuff from, Katie Taylor does literally the same thing in every fight the last couple of years. Start off boxing well, get caught in a war she has no business being in, composes herself and goes back to boxing clever and etching out the win. Rinse and repeat. Did it for Persoon twice, Jonas and Serrano last night.

You also didn't mention anything about round 5 where Katie took a pasting and had to hold on for dear life if there was ever a 10-8 round without a knockdown it was that. What round did Taylor have that was as dominating as that?
