"You got to use the jab when you got a guy dominating you with his jab. As Mike Tyson did with taller guys that had a longer jab, he moved his head and got inside of the longer jab and he out jabbed him with his jab, but you gotta be taught that stuff."
One thing Atlas is omitting from this analysis is that Dillian Whyte is fat and has appalling footwork. Its all very having the head movement to dodge the jab, but how are you gonna get on the inside if your feet are stuck in treacle?
Having watched Whyte get thoroughly done, in a manner akin to David Haye with Wladimir Klitschko, I'm now of the opinion that if you're a smaller guy that wants to get on the inside of a long, rangy fighter, you better goddamn be Mike Tyson, otherwise give up.

Imo, Whyte and his team were tricked into preparing for the wrong type of fight by all the pre fight talk from Fury about coming in at his heaviest weight ever and bullying Dillian like he did Wilder. They seemed to be flummoxed when Fury came out boxing on the back foot instead. Fury coming in at his lightest weight since linking up with Sugar should have made them think about plan B, but they didn't seem to have any plan B!
The advice Whyte was getting from his corner in between rounds was equally naive. "Use your jab!" over and over again, and not once did I hear anybody telling him to step in with his jab, which is something I've seen him do quite well in other fights.
Repeatedly trying to catch Fury with over-hand rights was another mistake by Dillian. The days when Fury was susceptible to being caught by that particular punch are long gone. Deontay Wilder, who is taller, longer and faster than Whyte, threw over-hand rights repeatedly at Fury throughout their trilogy, and I can only recall one landing clean. And that was in their first fight, when Fury was a shadow of the fighter he is now.

He would've gotten knocked out even faster if he actually got angry and threw caution to the wind sooner. Whyte stinks, overrated bum and hopefully we never have to see him talked about for title fights ever again.
