    Oh - how could I forget Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett? He of the greatest ring entrance of all time:

      Derek is sometimes shortened to Del

      Del Boy is an iconic TV character in the UK from a comedy show called Only Fools and Horses, one of the most iconic TV characters of all time here, so I think it simply comes from that, having the same name.

      Chisora was also a car salesman for BMW earlier in his career and started buying and selling cars. Del Boy the character was a wheeler dealer market trader, so I think that’s part of the link too.

        Not the worst per se but the Smith brothers have some odd nicknames. But I think they’re nicknames they grew up with rather than chosen for boxing

        Callum = Mundo
        Liam = Beefy
        Paul = Smigga

              Wilfredo "Papito" Vazquez. I cringed every time he got introduced.

              Sam "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter

              The thread has become more like what nickname that people don't like than actually bad ones.

                  Mitch "Hold my Beer" Hicks

                  although one could argue that is the greatest ring name of all time.

                    Very true, and - if you ask me - lame just the same.

                      Well, in order to clown a bit, here's a fantasy nickname I would give to a well-known heavyweight:

                      Bruce "I threw the Tyson fight the night when Tupac Shakur was killed" Seldon
