In the UK they'd have something else to do rather than watch second and third rate sport.
Ive heard Americans do the "Brits have no options/nothing else to do" stuff before in various contexts and it always makes me laugh. Like the whole of America is New York and California and that 3000 mile stretch between the two where most people live doesnt exist.

Those hick town players are the future of a multi billion dollar sport that the entire world watches.

      NCAA sports > Brit shlt.

While tourism has picked up slightly in 2021, they still fall far short of the pre-pandemic numbers.
      ...
Here are the 10 countries with the most tourism:
      • France (89,400,000)
      • Spain (83,700,000)

        Well at least without AJ/Usyk.

This is a mega fight because of both of them TOGETHER.

Neither Whyte NOR Fury can sell this many tickets without the other.

Not sure why that's difficult to understand.
        —————

How much money did Whyte make in his last fight?
How much did Fury make in his?
How many PPV fights has Whyte been in? How many has Fury?
Fury is undefeated. He is the HW champ and is a global star. Can you say the same about Whyte?

Mayweather made way more than all his opponents after the Oscar fight. He became a crossover star and holds the record in PPV sales.
        Fury is on that trajectory.

Fury is bigger star than Whyte. Not sure how that’s difficult to understand.

In boxing Fury individually gets paid multiples of his team. More than Sugar Hill, more than everyone else in his team. Same as LeBron. They're the key men in the team. That's the analogy.

Yes boxing is unusual in that the opposition team can be on substantially less money - but not when you get to the top 5 or so fighters. 80/20 is outrageous when this fight is selling out 94k tickets because it's two big fighters colliding in the ring. It's the matchup that's selling out - not the individuals.

Even if we use that analogy which is actually fair, the Lakers have a much larger salary than say the Oklahoma.
Real Madrid has a much bigger salary than Valencia. When Madrid plays Valencia, Madrid players still make way more than Valencia players.

See updated salary data for every NBA player, including contract terms and cap hits.

How else do you explain Mayweather making $40 million while Maidana making $3 million?

Fury is a bigger star than Whyte. It’s that simple.

What I do agree with you is an 80/20 split is outrageous HOWEVER, a 70/30 split or 60/40 split seems ok.

Where have I denied that Fury is not the A side?

You're just typing a load of irrelevant points. Clearly got something to get off your chest.

Dude you're getting twisted for no reason. Take a deep breath and relax.

It takes two to tango. And this fight is huge because of BOTH. Despite Fury being the A side.

They wouldn't have even dared look at Wembley with Whyte or AJ.

              Wow, very impressive.

Fury is without a doubt, the king of boxing.

Gotta laugh at BodyBagz and 1hourRun sucking each other off in this thread.

Just a pair of Wilder fans with sore v@ginas.

You Brits have a gang of countries around you.
We only have 2 and Mexico doesn't count
We are 100 hours away and yet people can't get here fast enough.

You mugs have tea and stale biscuits
We have the best of everything
Even our stale shlt > your top shelf shlt.

Fury is ''a'' king of bums, with a bummy resume in a bummy era

                    Right now,
What would a win over Whyte do for Fury's ''resume'' (such that it is)

Don't wait and declare Whyte to be 4th best HW ever, like you all did Wilder

Fury destroys any American boxer past or present, so does Lennox for that matter.

What's your boy Deontay up to? Last time I heard, he was twerking and talking about doing acid?
