Tell 'em! If Lubin doesn't do the slow rebuild route, Tony is most likely his next opponent.
In the meantime, put Tony in there with Tzyu, see how he fares vs that "Fundora" type pressure.

I don't remember the last time I saw a beat down like that. Lubin showed tremendous heart, but the damage he took was terrible.

How about "put Tony in there with Fundora?"

If you think about it, you gotta feel bad for Lubin. He was a top prospect until getting KOd by the very first punch in his title opportunity. Terrible bad break. Gets his confidence back in some comeback fights, then he has to fight a giant stickman. His losses are not exactly a true measure. They weren't for lack of talent, heart or ability.

Fundora is bound to fill out and eventually leave the division. Eventually Ennis will probably end up at middleweight. I could see Fundora and Ennis eventually meeting up.

I have to disagree with Tony Harrison. That was a very fun and entertaining fight. Time is on Lubin's side. He's only 26 years old. He needs more time to rest and heal from his injuries and make a come back and work more on his fundamentals.

While it's true that some fighters get old overnight but that was not the case with Erickson. He was just in there with a much better opponent who was very large and monster sized for that Super welterweight division.

The 6 foot 6 inch Sebastian Fundora simply wore him down with his superior size. This was just a very bad style match up for him.

Itá amazing that these writers have an Afro-American agenda. Lubin did what any Mexican does, go to war, and Harrison beat Garcia but did not pick him apart.

Yes, exactly, why retire after a tough fight? He's still young enough to come yet again and there's plenty fighters suffered similar or worse injuries and didn't retire. He can still make a lot of money. Maybe fight Harrison?
