He won the heavweight championship of the world twice. Tbe second time was more than 20 years after the first time. He was 45 years old. Most heavy's can't even make it to 35. He is amazing.
also Foreman had one of the best jabs in the heavyweight division in addition to his monstrous power. Its why he was able to land on guys like frazier who honestly dodged punches pretty well.
Okay, he has huge punching power - that counts for alot.
But:
-He's slow
-He's sloppy (hands low, lazy jab, wild roundhouse punches)
-He has almost no defensive skills
-He launches only knockout punches, and so tends to punch himself out, instead of throwing a variety of shots, some intended just to score or set up bigger shots.
note: i've only seen fights of his from the 70s (Fraizer, Ali, Lyle), so maybe he was a more developed fighter during his second run in the 80s/90s, i'm not sure...
A lot of what you said here is not true. There are two Foremans, and he fought differently when he returned to the ring to compensate for his older age.
He is not sloppy. His hands were low to raise them up and deflect shots or to protect his body from punches. And he has very good defensive skills.
Sere here:
Every punch he throws hurts. He can hit you anywhere, and you'll feel it in your soul.
