I don’t think Thurman has dropped a single fighter ranked in the Top 10. If he has, it’s very seldom.

Buckling a fighters legs for a moment doesn’t make someone a puncher
Yeah it’s clear as day he’s no puncher. “One Time” is nearly as ridiculous as Whyte calling himself the “body snatcher” despite never stopping anybody with a body shot.

Of course Thurman can punch. Is he a KO artist? No, but he can crack well enough. To say he can't hurt Crawford is plain nonsense. He's hurt pretty much everyone he's fought at one point or another. Not to mention that both Gamboa and Mean Machine hurt Crawford - and remind me again, which top-five fighters have either of those two ever KO'ed? Because if the answer's none I might just have discovered a slight crack in that seemingly infallible logic of yours.

I wouldn't pick Thurman to beat Crawford but he does at least stand a chance, and to say he "can't punch" is quite honestly laughable. I wonder how many of his past opponents would agree with you? Danny Garcia rated him the second biggest puncher he's faced. That is to say harder than Spence, therefore I suppose Spence can't punch either.

Still, you know best Mr. Boxrec Warrior. If boxing matches were won and lost on paper you'd never be wrong.
Well put, couldn't be bothered to respond to such irrational nonsense myself. Some people just can't be reasoned with.

Hurt him to the point of taking him out is what I’m referring to. Could he buzz him momentarily? Sure. Can he stop Crawford? No.

        He can’t punch. He’s not a concussive puncher. That’s just a fact.

Who’s talking about boxrec mate? I’m talking about what happens in the fights.

Thurman has no business in the ring with Crawford. He hasn’t beaten a ranked fighters in years.

Wobbling fighters make you a puncher now? I can’t even think of a Top 10 guy he’s stopped.

He hit Barrios with everything plus the kitchen sink and was never anywhere close to stopping him or even dropping him yet T Rex arms Jr Lightweight Tank stopped him

Couldn’t stop Lopez, who got smashed by Maidana.

Couldn’t stop Bundu, never had him visibly hurt other than the flash KD in the first round.

Couldn’t drop Porter who was stopped by Crawford, dropped by Spence and Adrien Broner.

He never had any of the above in any kind of real trouble at any point despite hitting them all consistently.

This is a sign that he is not a puncher. Which he’s not, that’s obvious.

Thurman has NO chance with Crawford. What’s he going to do? Outbox him? No.

He can’t hurt him, that we know.

Crawford got his ass rocked and dropped by Kavalaskiskis. That we also know. One Time can definitely hurt him.

            Sorry, let me rephrase that.

Can he hurt him to the extent of stopping him? No.

He could momentarily buzz him, yes. He’s got enough pop on his punches to buzz him.

            Drop him? Very unlikely.

Stop him? No. Not going to happen.

              Crawford would punish Thurman.

Can you name a Top 5 or 10 ranked fighter he’s dropped or stopped or not?

                Simple question.

This is the best version of Thurman in terms of athletics and power but boy is he getting touched up. I think Crawford wrecks any version of him, esp the half-Keef we see today. I think there is demand to see Crawford stop him so Thurman should earn a pretty penny if the fight happens.

                    It’s “irrational nonsense” apparently mate

A puncher…..who’s dropped no one in the Top 10

                    Makes sense

I like both fighters. Crawford hasn’t stopped any top fighters either. Porter was battle fatigued and his style doesn’t lend itself to longevity. Crawford doesn’t take it to the body any better than Thurman, they both have been rocked to the body. I still favor Crawford to beat Thurman, and any other welterweight, but I think this one goes the distance in a close fight.
