Providing the Canelo fight goes through then its definitely a retirement fight for him. Like I said originally it's a snowball's chance in hell he wins that one. It will have to be a fluke knockout if he does because at his age you dont get faster, slicker, more accurate and more fleet footed for 1 last fight. The cards are stacked against him. I swear I'm thinking seriously of dropping money on Murata though. I dont know why but I can see that fight turning sour for GGG. He shouldn't lose on paper but I feel an upset by Murata.

MFers in here claiming these boogeymen have beaten someone
I'm not crowning RG or these boogeymen.
I'm still WAITING on them to prove themselves, if that's ok with you.......
Edit -
GGGeezer ducked entire divs despite talking about ''anyone from 154-160+''
GGGeezer is nothing without Nelo.
Who was 29 year old GGGeezer fighting at that point in his career.
GGGroupies didn't GAF about all of those meaningless defenses.Comment

GGG has to put a beating on Murata to get a decision in Japan. Will he go out on his shield vs Canelo? Because he's going to have to sit in the pocket and **** with Canelo more than he did in the first two fights.Comment

Believe it or not but I have this premonition that Gennady Golovkin would lose his next fight to Ryota Murata.Comment

Golovkin, even at his age, should run over Murata. Murata does nothing but come forward with a high guard and no head movement whatsoever. If he does that against GGG, he's getting chin-checked harder than he's ever been.Comment

He may beat Murata and I suppose there is a wild card snowballs chance in hell he beats Canelo ( even though a snowball's has zero chance in hell ) the other things after that are seriously fairytales and candy cane dreams. GGG is ancient in a boxing ring and I'm honestly not sure he wins in Japan.
I get everyone picking Golovkin. Murata is limited and has not been tested. This is his biggest moment, and Golovkin is used to this kind of fight. Golovkin still has the best jab in the game and has a cash-out trilogy match hanging in the balance, so you know he will be focused. Murata's style seems to be perfect for what Golovkin still does well. Not to mention the simple fact I cannot see Murata hurting Golovkin (who is made of granite) so a points win is all that makes sense. But... I just get the gut feeling it all unravels for Golovkin. I think Murata wins, and I can only go with the gut to reason it out.Last edited by landotter; 03-31-2022, 07:52 PM.Comment
