Bivol or Beterbiev? Who gives Canelo the tougher fight and why?

he fought kovalev 2 and a half years ago. beterbiev became 175 pound champ 2 and a half years ago. he keeps picking people who arent beterbiev. he said the same im too small thing when he wouldnt fight ggg. im too small...but then he fought chavez jr at super middle. he was too small but now hes fighting bivol at 175. what happened there? so he wasnt too small for 175 in 2019, was too small in 2020, was too small in 2021, is no longer too small in the first quarter of 2022, and will be too small again in the second quarter of 2022.Comment

also i dont see any evidence hes going for all the titles at 175. he already won a title there 2 and a half years ago vs kovalev, then just went back to making easy fights at dead division 168. his plan is to fight bivol then go back to 168 to fight an old ggg and ryder. seems like hes just going back and forth from 168-175 so the pressure wont be on him to fight beterbiev. we saw this same thing with 155-160 when the pressure was on him to fight ggg.Last edited by daggum; 04-01-2022, 12:23 PM.Comment

168 was completely dead. smith was coming off a robbery win, saunders fought absolutely no one for a belt and looked terrible doing it. plant is ok but has a pretty slim resume. just weren't enticing fights at all, especially given the alternatives he could have made: ggg 3, beterbiev. he never even had to fight the most talented fighter there benavidez in order to get the belts(even though benavidez is overrated as well hes still the best of a weak crop)

Beterbiev! He is a big 175. He hits hard puts on extreme pressure has a good short power jab to head and body. Bivol is a basic fight tall kind of guy. I feel Canelo will walk him down late. Against Beterbiev Canelo will have to counter punch most of the fight and fight at a pace he may not like at times.Comment

Some of us expected Canelo to keep his word after the Khan fight but as always Canelo continues to dissapoint. Factor in the double backstabbing Canelo inflicted on the WBC and Golovkin after Golovkin at the urging of the WBC stepped aside to allow the Cotto/Canelo fight to proceed.
NOT ONE GGGroupie EXPECTED ANYTHING FROM GGGeezer
ALL THAT GUFF ABOUT ''ANYONE FROM 154-175!!!''
NOT A WHISPER OF ANGER
No offense but all of you GGGroupies/Nelo haters can fck right off. Can't wait for him to retire and take you all with himComment

GGG feints and varies up his jab. Bivol is too predictable and fights too much of an amateur with his front and back stance. Betebiev can adjust better has shorter punches body shots etccc and power. Plus you can't beat canelo on the backfoot.Comment

I pick Bivol simply because of his constant in your face jab. Reminds me so much of Golovkin’s jab where he just constantly pumps it out and bashes your nose with it. 24 rounds with him and Canelo still never really figured out how to get past it. It was that jab alone that won Golovkin some rounds in the rematch. Bivol’s jab is just as educated.
