Comments Thread For: Hearn: We Wouldn't Have Agreed To Kambosos Rematch In Australia On Devin's Behalf

Personally, I love this move by Devin Haney. This just only goes to show what kind of fighter he is. He is willing to give us boxing fans the fights that we want to see by taking on big name challengers regardless of the platform or the purse split. One can say what they will but this kid has demonstrated the type of balls and courage that is rarely found in boxers today.

I love this idea too. IF Haney beats Kambo convincingly the first time, why not? Stink him out, and they won't be able to sell a rematch. I don't have that much faith in Haney, to win in Oz, but we'll see what Kambosos has.Comment

Hearn has had a really tough stretch the last year losing a couple of purse bids & not delivering the big fights for a few in his stable. He did reel in Canelo for a couple fights but he has been left on the outside looking in on more than one occasion. He really needs Joshua to win the rematch.Comment

Haney literally had no other choice, and I'd assume Haney is pissed about having to surrender his freedom to do it, but it needed to be done. It's almost unthinkable that Haney will have to win twice in Australia, especially with his impending weight issues. This is the ultimate way for Haney to build his reputation. Davis, Garcia and Teofimo have yet to do something this meaningful. The silver lining is that Haney becomes a logical opponent for Teofimo @140.Last edited by kiaba360; 03-28-2022, 11:34 PM.Comment
