People need to stop with this narrative that fighters have evolved to be better these days. We are in the sports science era, and fighters are still turning up out of condition.

Have you seen Tyson Fury lifting weights? He is not strong for his size 'Not in terms of gym strength anyway'.

Anthony Joshua has transferable skills, Wilder & Uysk also have transferable athletic abilities.

Tyson Fury is specific, he is like a Shark in that sense. He is adapted to his environment, which is a boxing ring. I don't even think it would be a good idea for him, to mess around with mixed martial arts ether 'His flexibility seems to be low'.

I love how boxing is apparently the only sport that never moves on.

I hear guys claiming that midgets like Marciano would beat Tyson Fury in a boxing fight.

Its kinda like claiming that Jimmy Connors would beat Roger Federer in a tennis match.

        Laughable.

The same guy who gave Usyk a much harder fight than Joshua did?

Half of Chisora's losses were robberies.

                Sometimes size will prevail.
Since these big bums are so bummy, I doubt they could get past Tex Cobb.

Give me a shout when Joshua beats a real champion. Charles Martin doesn't count btw.

So you are telling me Tyson Fury is natures attempt at perfecting itself? That amusing mate.

Fury is not in a good way compared to some other top athletes, even with all of the sports science and supplements he is shoving down his neck.

The man is a great fighter, but in terms of pure athletic ability and fitness. I do not for one second, believe he is some sort of genetic marvel.

Rocky Marciano was in better condition than Tyson Fury 'That is a fact'. And he was not training and living in the sport science era.

Tyson Fury is not going to weighing 270 + pounds back in the 1930's or 40's, he is most likely weighing in at 240 pounds and getting ****** out. Because the lifestyle and environment may just be too tough for him, actual society etc.

I have said this before, mythical match ups do not work like you think they do.

If Tyson Fury was to fight all those fighters from the past, where and when are they fighting? Do the fighters have knowledge of their past? Are we fighting present day or in the past?

Because it is not a fair playing field if Tyson Fury, can travel back in time and shove supplements down his neck 'And have access to all the latest sports science'.

When I think about mythical match ups, these are the things I take into consideration. The fact of the matter is, most fighters these days would struggle to fight in all era's.

Tyson Fury is a bi-product of the modern era. He has shown no evidence that he can travel back in time, and maintain his form. Because the large bulk of his training is based on modern practices and sports science.

The real old school fighters in recent times are Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe, Carl Froch, Floyd Mayweather Junior. Most of their training methodologies were base on old school techniques, which means they could travel back in time and pretty much be unaffected.
