He appears to be very talented and fast but I haven’t seen him fight anybody good. He turns 25 in June.

If you come right after the era or right on the tail end of the era of the last greats, that is the standard to which fans and media will measure you.

With that said, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo?

Myaweather at 25 years old already had won the 130 and 135 WBC titles, the 130 Lineal championship, and the 135 Ring/Lineal championship. He had also defeated Lineal champ Genaro Hernandez, #1 ranked and #5 P4P Corrales, Jesus Chavez, fought #1 ranked 135lb fighter Jose Luis Castillo twice. Lastly, Mayweather had already made it to The Ring’s top 10 best P4P fighter by 25.

Pacquiao at 25 years old was a 3-weight champion and had an upset over an ATG and HOF of his era in Barrera. Pacquiao had also made it to The Ring’s top 10 P4P rankings at 25.

Canelo by 25, had already fought very difficult styles like Mayweather, Lara, Trout. He had beaten a HOFer in Cotto, and had become Ring champion of 154 and 160 by that age. Canelo, like Mayweather and Paquiao, had also cracked the Ring’s top 10 P4P rankings by 25 years old.

Measuring him with the greats of his own era, he is trailing pretty slowly. He has the talent but his resume is a desert. He needs to start calling out everyone from every weight. At his age, Mayweather was calling out welterweights DLH. Mosley and calling out 154 fighters like Winky Wright. You have to do that to get your resume up there. You call the big guys, the top names. That’s what fans want to see. They want to see smaller weight fighters calling out Tyson Fury. It riles people up.

Don't forget that Floyd crushed the #1 contender at 130 Angel Manfredy in 2 rounds 2 months after beating Hernandez.

        - - How many years he do for beating up women is the question?

We don't have the answer yet, but Uncle Bob knows how to buy off girls to drop their charges, the new game in town

I think Manfredy was ranked #2 by The Ring. Mayweather #1. The Ring had no champions at any of the weights at the time throughout the 1990s. They started crowning champions again in 2001.

Canelo, Fury, Crawford, Inoue, Lomachenko? I don't even mention about Usyk, Chocolatito, Donaire etc.. How the hell is he "top 5" in terms of talent and skill? When some of these guys will retire, maybe yes.

The only thing I don't know about Stevenson is how well his chin holds up to being checked and how he'll react when put under constant pressure. Hopefully Valdez gives me the answer to these questions.

We shall see

This is what I was thinking. How will he respond to adversity? That's what defines a great fighter.

Boring fighter. Zero interest, but he is just a kid. We'll see down the line.
