This was Lomachenkos dream to unify the division against Kamboso. Haney is a just an email champ, he never beat Loma for it.

He wouldn’t be unified champ vs kambosos anyway because like it or not, Haney has a legit world title. The only reason it was emailed to him was because Loma asked the wbc for their franchise title instead of facing his mandatory who was…..Haney.

these guys are in quite serious danger, that madman ***** has just reduced one city to rubble, if ukraine dont take his terms he just might try it with the capital plus if they are at the front line they are in real danger, even back a bit u could be unlucky, terrible stuff

Haney was given a belt, the same belt the WBC has essentially called meaningless twice. He's basically paying sanctioning fees for a fake title. It's pretty sad that people like to pretend otherwise.

There will be a big blowback if they leave the country.
Exactly this. They may be part of the TD in a relatively quiet area today but that could be tomorrow's front line all depending (Belarus, long range missile strikes, saboteurs, etc). Ukraine has already lost some of their domestic celebrities in the fighting who had joined up for the TD. Add to that the Klitschko brothers in Kyiv risking themselves on the front line in the battle for that city.

When I went to the Gvozdyk/Beterbiev fight a few years back, I was blown away by the Ukraine following in the audience and how many of the Ukrainian fighters came to support their fellow countryman. The patriotism is real.

His belts will still be in Australia when he’s ready. Short of Haney developing overnight power in each hand I very much doubt kambosos respects him in front of a home crowd and the close rounds will in a likelihood go to the home fighter.

Yep, and if it gets really nasty in Kyiv, then Ukraine will go all out to protect the capital. So there is a chance those two end up fighting like the rest of them.

This is the thing, these guys are LITERALLY fighting for their country. They don't give a damn about boxing right now and are fully aware they may not even be able to box again. It's easy for people in the US to talk since it is damn near impossible for anyone to invade it or even attempt to invade it. I'm sure Lomachenko and Usyk both have friends and family members in the frontlines as we speak and they have probably lost some loved ones because of this war.

Then you have to also factor in that residential buildings are getting bombed left and right now. So even if those two don't end up getting on the frontlines, they can be impacted from missiles coming from hundreds of miles away.

This is really a f'd up situation. There wasn't much of a chance that either was going to leave the country for a damn boxing match.

That was actually kind of cool that Kambos team gave time to Loma for a decision. The Ukrainian govt said it was ok for Loma to fight.

Can you imagine that chit, Loma can't fight in a boxing match bc its possible he might be fighting in a war from an invading country. WTF! Its crazy anyway you look at it.
