The actual meaningless title is the franchise belt and the wbc have no one to blame but themselves for this nonsense. The belt that haney has is the same one fighters have held for decades. It's not Haneys fault the wbc created some lame ass fake belt. He became mandatory, wanted to fight Loma and Loma asked for the franchise belt and the wbc obliged. Spin it however you want but there is no undisputed without the real WBC title.

Haney is the people's champion though. Have you ever heard of the saying in order to be the man you have to beat the man? Well I am still waiting on that and most boxing fans are too; Whether it's Kambosos or Loma. They have to defeat the mandatory challenger for that WBC strap and his name is Devin Haney. nobody cares what that greedy fk says. He’s just trying to talk his way out of being a hypocrite. That franchise belt only exists for 2 weight classes in the history of the sport and just surfaced within the last 3 years. It’s not the title that any other undisputed champion has ever held in the history of boxing, so that’s the fake belt. The belt Haney has is the real belt. End of story. You can argue about how he got it but that’s not his fault, it’s the fault of the organization who had to honor their own rules when it comes to mandatories. Several champions in boxing have won vacant titles by fighting non champions who the organization lined up, so there’s no difference. Floyd, Pac, Cotto, Canelo have all won vacant titles. What you said about Rid**** Bowe is a lie. I'm sure that if you look, you'll find that the real facts are quite different. I have seen them and exchanged emails about them. First of all it was a publicity stunt and Bowe took the belt back after the cameras had left. The real reason was to do with his manager who had been shown to beb not trustworthy. So although the fight was offered to Lewis several times with increasing amounts they always turned it down, citing their distrust of Newman

Even so, he beat Holyfield who was at his best, twice, the second time badly out of shape, but not as badly as when Holyfield managed to sc**** a split decision against him. First of all let me make myself very clear. I have not once ever claimed that Bowe was afraid of Lewis. Also, you make many salient points that I do tend to agree with. You are right. It was Rock Newman all along who prevented that fight from happening; Not Rid**** Bowe. Bowe always wanted to avenge his Olympic Finals loss to Lewis when the referee stopped their fight in the final round.

Bowe got some very bad career advice by vacating his WBC title because he would have been the easy favorite to win that fight but his manager Rock Newman didn't see it that way. He thought Lennox was just too much of a High risk/ Low reward fight for Rid**** Bowe at that time. So please don't ever accuse me of Rid**** Bowe of being afraid to fight Lennox Lewis again because I have never once said that. It was Rock Newman who was afraid of Lennox Lewis not Rid**** Bowe.

However, the facts remain the same. He did vacate his WBC title once Lennox Lewis became his mandatory challenger. Once Rid**** Bowe trashed that WBC Heavyweight title belt in the trash Bin; The WBC instantly recognized Lennoix Lewis as their champion. Lennox successfully defended that title three times before challenging Oliver McCall for it in 1994; When he was subsequently knocked out by McCall in the second round of their WBC Heavyweight championship bout.
