Go Avanesyan. I'm looking forward to the Metz rematch. I think he can win quicker next time. I hope so, as it looked like he was gassing a little before the stoppage.

Huh? That Metz fight wasn't a good fight but you do know Ava's tested himself in his career. It would be nice to see Benn do the same.

Bad enough boxing can’t make matchups to save its life. Worse that we have to listen to promoters spewing their lame justifications, too.

It was an EBU European title fight.

Maybe Conor can win his first legitimate title soon. Maybe he could fight Liam Goddard for the BBBofC Southern Area title. Might be too risky of fight to take though as Goddard isn’t shot to bits and approaching 40 like the majority Con-man Benn’s opponents.

Avanesyan was going for an eliminator vs Vergil Ortiz before this, and Ortiz side weren't interested. Meanwhile Hearn is likely bribing the sanctioning orgs not to rate Benn to highly because he doesn't want to lose face if they get offered an eliminator against somebody with a pulse and turn it down.

Yeah I know he was ordered to fight Ortiz. Ortiz was interested. It was on hold until after the Mckinson fight. Avanesyan knocked back an IBF eliminator with Ellis to fight Liam Taylor. That's underwhelming. Benn has good rankings, wether deserved or not. So he's not gonna be bribing anyone, if an eliminator comes it comes. You can just refuse it if you don't want it. Avanesyan has already shown that.

It was an EBU fight. Well done you for spotting that. That was his FIFTH defence. And he really took a gamble with the no 11 ranked fighter. Just awesome. I'm truly on board the Avanesyan bandwagon now. Looking forward to seeing who Frank matches him up with for defence no 6. Go AVA.
