theres a double standard for sure. benn is still young, improving and doesnt need to be rushed. someone like tank is way more experienced and hasnt fought anyone with a pulse (cruz wasnt meant to give him any problems so dont praise him taking that fight) yet there doesnt seem to be any rush for him to step his competition up. crawford didnt fight a notable opponent until he was 34 years old lol so as far as im concerned benn can do what he wants

So we agree that he wanted the Ortiz fight. Which he confirms that he is more willing to fight dangerous opponents than Benn is,

Can't find anything online suggesting this to be the case. Got a link?

Yes I do agree. But do you also agree that Avanesyan is vastly more experienced and should be fighting top opposition, but Benn is a work in progress with much to learn, for example, he's just about to fight his first southpaw?

So Benn should fight Avanesyan. Good enough chance he could win. Not like either guy is doing anything better.

I totally agree. I'd like to see it. I think Benn wins. But Avanesyan can get an eliminator and Benn is behind him. So why is he he calling out a fighter that's behind him and stagnating fighting Oskari Metz and Liam Taylor? Since the Kelly win he's been wasting his time. And Kelly was overrated, so that was hardly a big win either.

Because it pays better than what he's getting now and it's a decent size fight

Well if you listen to Frank Warren ( and I try not to unless I need a giggle at some nonsense ) it probably won't be that good a payday. Frank said they made a big offer for the Benn fight. But then went on to admit, that the show could be promoted by Matchroom and on Dazn, and that he himself would pay Avanesyan. So it's not a bigger payday for Avanesyan than any other fight, as Frank ain't making no money in this. If Hearn pays him, it's a bigger payday. And for Benn, he just gets much the same as normal as he's the draw. Avanesyan may be seen as the more prominent fighter in the division, but Benn is the draw. And Warrens BIG offer, isn't one. So why are they so keen to chase Benn? Avanesyan needs to focus on getting a title shot, and beating Benn doesnt help him do that. So it makes no sense. I think it's about Warren trying to bring down Hearns cash cow, so he can gloat. It's already happened with Kelly and they think it'll happen again. Benn is unimportant to getting a shot, so their vision is skewed, and it could cost them. But hey that's just my opinion. And if they can't get Benn or a title shot for him, then they need to do significantly better than the last two mismatches.

Benn is ranked by most sanctioning bodies. Seems like you've got a lot of arguments against a fight you supposedly want to see.

I'm truly on board the Avanesyan bandwagon now. Looking forward to seeing who Frank matches him up with for defence no 6. Go AVA.
Conor Benn hasn’t even won an Area title you mad nonce.

I do want to see it. But that doesn't mean it'll happen. I just try to see what's in it for the fighters. It doesn't make sense for Avanesyan, so why make so much noise about it? Does it make sense for Benn? Yes, more so for him. But not in terms of rankings, but more in terms of getting respect and credibility. But Benn won't get that anyway. It doesn't matter who he fights, the haters will find fault. Avanesyan is a step forward, but he's not the be all and end all. There's plenty of other step up fights out there. If Avanesyan had no UK connections, nobody would even be mentioning this guy for Benn, so why is it so important he fights him? Because the Warrenites who all hate Benn say so? Lmao. I'd like to see it, it's a decent fight, and if Benn wins it'll at least close that chapter and shut those people up. But only for 5 minutes until they find someone else to say Benn is scared of. These people should just focus on the fighters their fans of rather than hating on others. Benns still learning, so let him learn. If people don't like him that's fine, he's not for everyone, but get off his back and go be a fan of the fighter you do like. More people like him than not, the numbers prove that. Another point that annoys some people. Well it is what it is guys so suck it up. In a nutshell.
